Returning to her seat, Lily looked up at Zoe.

"Mom, are you mad at me?"

She knew her mother had always loved her father.

Was her mom angry that she had called him out like that on stage?

If she was, Lily promised herself she'd never do it again.

She loved her mom.

More than anything in the whole world.

Zoe gently smoothed her daughter's hair.

"If someone steals your dad and it hurts your feelings, you have every right to yell at whoever you want. I think you did exactly the right thing."

Her gaze hardened with determination. "Didn't you say you wanted to learn martial arts? We'll start your training the second we get home. How does that sound?"

Lily's eyes lit up with sheer delight, completely buzzing with adrenaline.

She had already shoved the entire Hayden incident out of her mind.

"Yes! I'm going to learn martial arts and beat up the bad guys!"

They stayed until the very end of the conference before heading out to Zoe's new Rolls-Royce.

As they walked ahead, a few gossiping parents trailed behind them.

"That woman has to be Zoe, that internet troll who keeps harassing Sienna. What an eye-opener today was. She couldn't trap Mr. Thorne herself, so she uses her kid as a weapon."

Hearing the vicious whispers, Zoe stopped dead in her tracks and spun around.

The parents flinched, startled by her sudden movement, but Zoe wasn't going to play nice anymore.

She was entirely out of patience.

Lily was Hayden's biological daughter. Who gave these people the right to kiss Sienna's ass while stepping all over her child?

"What did you just say? I dare you to repeat that."

She held up her phone, the recording app clearly glowing on the screen.

The parents behind her froze.

Every family at this preschool was incredibly wealthy and obsessed with their public image.

Wondering what was wrong, Zoe pulled her hand back from the door.

"Yes?"

"I need to speak with you about something," the teacher said, her face contorted in an awkward grimace.

Zoe's instincts told her this wasn't going to be good news.

"The school received several anonymous complaints from parents today. They believe Lily's... outburst indicates a problematic mindset, and they're worried she's going to negatively influence the other children. They've requested that Lily be transferred out..."

The teacher's voice trailed off, too embarrassed to finish the sentence.

When Lily was enrolled, her father's identity had been kept strictly confidential. The school had received a few obligatory donations under her family's file, but the amounts were pitifully small.

In other words, Lily's financial value to the preschool was ranked dead last.

Combined with the chaos she caused today, the administration office had been bombarded with complaints the second the event ended.

The parents threatened to pull their own children out if Lily wasn't expelled immediately.

Zoe was both confused and furious.

"So just because my daughter told the truth on stage, she's being reported? They're the ones who are morally bankrupt. Why should my Lily be the one to leave?"
