Garrett could see the exhaustion etched into her features. "Is everything okay? Do you need me to step in?"

Zoe didn't want to drag him into her mess. "It's nothing major, but I won't be able to stay at the office."

Garrett easily deduced it had something to do with Hayden. As an outsider, he had no right to interfere in a marital dispute, but he wanted to offer whatever support he could. "Alright. If you need anything at all, just call me. Don't hesitate."

Zoe met his eyes, deeply moved by his genuine kindness. "Thank you."

That afternoon, Zoe arrived at the DMV. Sienna was already waiting. When Zoe noticed Hayden was nowhere in sight, a bitter scoff escaped her. She had fully expected him to stand over her shoulder and supervise the transfer just to twist the knife. But whatever, Holden had already ruined the upholstery with his markers anyway. If Sienna wanted the defaced car so badly, she could have it.

However, there was still the matter of the forty million dollars. Zoe fully intended to settle that score when the time was right.

"Thanks for the car, Zoe," Sienna said, flashing a triumphant smirk as she twirled the keys. "Honestly, I told Hayden he didn't have to force you to give it up, but what can I say? I just really love this model."

The faux-sweetness in her voice made Zoe sick. Zoe sneered. "Enjoy it while you can. You might not have the luxury for much longer."

Sienna offered a serene, pitying smile. "You don't need to worry about me. Hayden takes incredible care of me. Whatever catches my eye, he moves mountains to get it for me. A single car is nothing."

Sienna wasn't lying. Even before Zoe lost her memory, she had heard her family whispering about how fiercely devoted Sienna's partners always were to her. She already knew.

"Then I need you to do me a different favor," Zoe said, her eyes narrowing.

Nadia's interest piqued. "Name it. If it's possible, it's done."

"Track down Sienna's financial flows. If money went in, it had to go out. Ever since she joined the Thorne family, she supposedly only gets a $100,000 monthly allowance. If we find massive, unexplained financial transactions, we should be able to trace the source, right?"

Nadia paused, suddenly feeling a surge of respect for Zoe. Her brain was working sharper than a seasoned attorney's. Seriously, how did a woman this brilliant spend five years hopelessly obsessed with a man like Hayden Thorne?
