His Plump Mate (Book 1: The 'His' Series) novel Chapter 626

Sinclair POV

“A job?” I asked.

“Yeah. I’ve been looking for you three for months.”

“We went dark, Ricky,” Kaia said. “We turned in everything.”

Aiden looked at the three of us with an eyebrow raised. Adrian and Isaiah’s expressions were turning dark.

"Ricky, we are married now,” I said, making an opening for introductions.

“Married?” Ricky asked, amazed. “You mean there are men strong enough to lock down the three most vicious women I know?”

All three of us laughed, and our mates looked at Ricky with pride.

“This is Aiden,” Thalia said.

“This is Isaiah,” Kaia said.

“This is Adrian,” I said.

Ricky started shaking hands and greeting them. He looked at all of us and sighed. “Well, I’m happy for you all, but I still need to report back.”

Thalia then spoke. “Who is the job for, Ricky? Why are we needed?”

“A man is bankrolling the job. He has chosen to stay anonymous. He specifically requested the three of you. He heard about you three from common acquaintances that hired you previously.”

“What’s the job?” Kaia asked.

Isaiah then interrupted. “Ricky, our wives left that life. They are not going back. We have families now.”

Adrian and Aiden then started agreeing with Isaiah. Thalia, Kaia, and I all raised an eyebrow and crossed our arms.

“List,” I said. Thalia and Kaia followed suit.

Our stubborn mates crossed their arms over their chests. Adrian narrowed his eyes. “Definitely the list.”

Aiden and Isaiah then co-signed with Adrian. Ricky looked at the standoff and started laughing.

“Just so we are clear, my money has always been and will continue to be on the women guys. I’ve seen how terrifying they can be,” Ricky said, amused.

Thalia looked at Ricky. “Who’s the target? What’s the pay?”

“What information is needed?” Kaia asked.

Kaia jumped in. “That’s right, guys. Ricky never measured up to us and would constantly get upset about being bested by us. Just in case you haven’t figured it out, we are his targets. We want to know who is targeting us and paying him handsomely for our elimination. We are playing stupid on purpose!”

“And if we don’t go and take care of this now, he will follow us to Blackstone. We don’t want that, so we need to address it now!” Thalia growled.

The three of our mates' faces paled. “You already know what’s happening?” Aiden asked.

“Yes!” The three of us said.

I pulled my phone and started typing away. Kaia and Thalia were looking over my shoulder. They pulled out their phones. We are now ignoring our mates. We are furious with them for trusting us to know danger when we see it. Of course we would know!

Kaia’s eyes widened. “No fucking way!”

Thalia and I both growled. “Kaia, we are killing that fucker. You realize that, right?”

“He stopped being of importance to me a long time ago. I’m just angry he is involving you two. Before he dies, we torture him for the information.”

“Agreed,” Thalia and I said.

We looked up, and our mates were looking at us. “Who are we killing?” Isaiah asked as Aiden and Adrian nodded in agreement.

Kaia looked at Isaiah. “My father.”
