His Plump Mate (Book 1: The 'His' Series) novel Chapter 624

Sinclair POV

Adrian carried me all the way to our room and laid me on the bed gently. He kissed me gently. Everything was gentle. Kaia and I are so talking about this at lunch. Girl talk indeed!

“Are you comfortable, little sin?”

“Very, babe,” I said, snuggling against him.

He started rubbing my back again. “I hear pregnancy can hurt your back. Is it feeling okay?”

I smiled into his chest. “It’s a little sore, but nothing serious. It’ll be fine.”

Adrian started rubbing my back with his hand, and I had to bite down on my lip so I wouldn't laugh. I wrapped my arm around him tighter, and then don’t you know it, I did fall asleep.

When Adrian woke me up, an hour had passed, and Aiden and Thalia were downstairs waiting for Kaia and me.

“Sleep good?”

I stretched and didn’t realize my shirt came undone in my sleep. My breasts in white lace were on full display, and Adrian growled low.

“Sorry,” I said, covering myself.

Adrian grabbed my hands and moved them out of the way and just kept staring with darkened eyes. “They’ve gotten bigger.”

I chuckled. “Yeah. I need to buy some more bras that fit now. These are getting a little too tight.”

“I’ll hold them for you if you want,” he smirked.

“Maybe later. I need to freshen up and meet Kaia and Thalia downstairs. We are having lunch today,” I smirked at his reaction.

“Just lunch?” He asked, and I knew exactly what he was trying to do.

“Maybe some shopping and a pedicure. These things take time.”

“I could join you. I’m sure Aiden and Isaiah would join us.”

I smiled gently. “Adrian, I need some girl time with my soul sisters. You should have guy time with your brothers.”

He swallowed, and I saw his neck bob up and down. I knew he wanted to stop me, but then he would give away that he overheard Kaia and me talking about the massage. Hilarious.

I got off the bed and freshened up. I changed into a different top that shows just a little more cleavage, and his eyes darkened.

“Do I look okay? Or do I look fat in this shirt?” I asked, clearly giving him a no-win situation. If he says I’m fat, he is in the doghouse. If he says I look fine, then he has to let me go with Thalia and Kaia, and we potentially have a man giving us a massage.

“You look beautiful as always. Maybe you should take a sweater in case you get cold.”

“No, I’ve been overheated lately. Plus, it’s almost eighty degrees outside. It’s too warm for a sweater,” I said, kissing him and walking out the door. He follows me quickly, and I make my way downstairs.

Kaia is on the same wavelength as me. She clearly did the same thing. Aiden didn’t even know he was helping us when he gave us both a hug.

“You two look very nice today,” he said.

“Thank you, brother!” I said happily.

Kaia chimed in. “I can’t wait to have lunch with my soul sisters!”

“Sure, what’s up?”

“Are you planning on leaving after your pups are born?” she asked.

“How did you know? I haven’t talked to you about it yet.”

“Moon Goddess came to me. She said I was going to have to stand by your decision even if no one else does.”

I sighed. “Everyone, including Kaia, thinks it’s a suicide mission. I’d be going into the lion’s den. They aren’t wrong, but we have to set the stage everything properly. I’m willing to bet if there are spies in Ironclaw, there are spies at Blackstone. I want it to be seen that I’m breaking ties with Adrian and Blackstone. I want them to think I went rogue. I am going to make it easy for Julian and his crew to find me and bring me in, Thalia. If I am turning the tables in your favor, then I need to be on the inside to do so.”

“What if you are discovered?”

“That’s why I made you promise me to look after my pups and Adrian. He has already lost one mate,” I said.

“I don’t like this at all, Sinclair. You are not wrong, though. The best way to dismantle is to infiltrate.”

“Yes. It’s the only way to implant what I am creating.”

“Moon Goddess said you would make a foe a friend while you are gone.”

“I don’t know who or when, but if she said it, then it must be true.”

Kaia is looking at both of us like we are crazy. “There has to be another way. We just haven’t thought of it yet.”

Thalia spoke up, “No. There isn’t, Kaia. Sinclair is right. She is going to need direct access. Remote access won’t do what she needs her program to do. If it could, we wouldn’t be talking about this right now.”
