He Waited She Wilted (Ottilie and Yorath) novel Chapter 93

They arrived at the party.

The car drove straight into the underground garage, allowing them to take the private elevator up.

First came the press interviews in the main hall.

Nyssa was incredibly famous; over the years, she had amassed massive popularity and an extensive network.

As Ottilie stood beside her, every single camera lens locked onto Nyssa.

Not a single question was directed at Ottilie.

Unbothered, Ottilie faced the flashing lights with calm grace, keeping a perfect smile on her face.

When the interviews wrapped up, Nyssa reached out, grabbed Ottilie's hand, and held it high.

"We've always been great friends. Please don't write bad things about Ottilie; it would truly break my heart."

With that, she leaned in and kissed Ottilie on the cheek.

Ottilie went entirely stiff, every hair on her body standing on end.

The reporters scrambled to capture the moment, shutters clicking furiously.

Beaming, Nyssa pulled Ottilie down from the stage and guided her toward the inner banquet hall.

Naturally falling into step beside Yorath, Nyssa smiled. "Yorath, what I just did was fine, right?"

Yorath maintained his usual elegant, aristocratic demeanor, making some quiet murmur of response.

Ottilie couldn't quite catch what he said.

They entered the inner hall.

Without the screaming fans, it was considerably quieter.

Yorath's inner circle, Nyssa's socialite friends, the major investors for the film, and the entire cast were all present.

That included Heath Schmidt and the others who had stepped in as extras.

Bryce Cameron walked over to greet them, telling Yorath, "Mr. Fordham, we'll let the rest of the cast go on stage to speak first, and then we'll give Ms. Sewell a grand introduction."

Yorath gave a curt nod.

Soren then stepped forward, escorting Ottilie to a chair tucked away in the corner.

The actors took the stage one by one, introducing their roles and thanking the director and investors.
