Stella picked up the phone and glanced at it. It was a post from an influencer who had photographed Jarrod and Chloe at an international airport.

The photos captured Jarrod looking down at Chloe affectionately as he spoke, Chloe gazing up at him with a shy smile, and Jarrod protectively wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

The photographer had excellent skills, making every single shot radiate romantic tension and deep affection between the two of them.

Stella set the phone down calmly, the cold glass still lingering against her fingertips.

She looked at George. "The woman in the photo is the deputy director of my department. Jarrod was already with her when they were abroad. He only came back to the country and invested in our gaming company for her."

"This is entirely normal for them."

Stella continued flatly, "My marriage to Jarrod was always just a transaction. I have absolutely no right to question who he dates or who he loves."

"Is it that you don't have the right, or you simply don't care?" George raged.

"The fact that Jarrod kept her hidden before meant he was still trying to preserve your dignity as his wife. The only reason he's tearing up the facade now—cutting off our family's business deals and blatantly taking his mistress overseas—is because he caught you pulling some scandalous stunt!"

"Listen to me, Stella. Whatever it takes, whether you have to apologize or get on your knees and beg, you must get Jarrod to forgive you and take you back!"

In George's eyes, everything was always her fault, and his business interests would always outweigh her feelings.

Stella couldn't help but let out a self-deprecating laugh. "Dad, stop dreaming. Jarrod has already ordered his lawyers to draft the divorce papers."
