Jarrod stood a short distance away, his dark, predatory gaze fixed on them, radiating a suffocating aura of cold fury.

Stella was currently pinned against Logan, her wrists still securely in his grip, their faces only inches apart—

Her mind completely blanked. She couldn't process a single thought.

All she could do was stare at Jarrod with wide, terrified eyes.

"Get off."

It wasn't until Logan shoved her away with a look of utter disgust that the trance broke.

Stella slowly gathered her senses and awkwardly scrambled up from the ground.

"Logan!"

Just then, Skylar came rushing over in a panic, frantically checking him over. "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"

"Jarrod, you're here."

Almost at the exact same moment Skylar threw herself at Logan, George walked out and warmly greeted Jarrod.

"Stella just mentioned she was coming out to meet you. Perfect timing!"

With that, George turned to Stella, noticing the dirt clinging to her clothes. He frowned. "Stella, weren't you coming out to greet Jarrod? How did you end up falling?"

By now, Stella's mind was slowly coming back online.

She had only come outside to talk to Logan alone, to remind him of their past face-to-face.

But Logan's icy, ruthless rejection had shattered her composure, causing her to lose her mind...

Even though there was absolutely nothing romantic going on between her and Logan, they had fallen in a tangle, and her lips had accidentally pressed against his cheek. She had no idea what Jarrod must be thinking after seeing that.

Jarrod's face was an unreadable mask, his dark eyes completely devoid of emotion.

Meanwhile, George's expression appeared warm and fatherly on the surface, but a flash of deep irritation and warning lurked in his eyes.
