Read Chapter 104 of He Never Noticed Me Until I Loved Someone Else novel online to discover whether Jarrod can win Stella’s heart back, or whether he has realized her true worth when it is already too late.
His gentle demeanor was a complete contrast to the icy businessman who had just been dealing with George.
Seeing this, an unfamiliar, complicated flutter stirred in Stella's heart.
Soon, Arthur emerged from the bathroom. He told Jarrod that he had just received a call about an urgent matter at the company and they needed to head over immediately.
Since Grandma Margaret was stifling a yawn, Jarrod told her to rest well. Then, with a final glance at Stella and without another word, he and Arthur left the Quinn residence.
The two documents were left sitting on the coffee table.
Grandma Margaret really did need her rest. Stella walked her back to her room, kept her company, and chatted softly until she drifted off to sleep before finally stepping out.
Outside, George had finished reading the copy of the divorce agreement.
His expression was distinctly foul.
"Jarrod has so many assets, yet he only gave you one house and five million dollars. How is this any different from paying off a beggar?"
"What kind of beggar gets millions of dollars?" Stella mocked coldly. "Besides, in the eyes of the Fuller family, we're not much different from beggars."
He had demanded a massive dowry when marrying off his daughter, constantly leeched off the Fuller name for business, and now expected a massive payout from the divorce.
Surprisingly, George didn't explode at Stella's words. Instead, he rubbed his temples.
"Stella, I know you've been angry with me ever since I married you into the Fuller family, but I was truly doing it for your own good. Marrying into a family like the Fullers brought you nothing but advantages."
George leaned back against the sofa and let out a long sigh. "Since it's come to a divorce, you need to fight for more. That's the foundation for your future life."
Stella stared at the deep wrinkles around George's eyes and decided not to argue further.
Regardless of his reasons, the marriage had happened, and there was no point in agonizing over the past.
