He didn't even care that Janetta was still listening.
"To buy Milk Tea," Helena replied naturally.
"Have room service bring it up," Sebastian said flatly.
"This place doesn't deliver. You have to wait in line," she explained calmly.
They bantered like a normal married couple, their eyes locked in a silent standoff.
"Go back to your call. It's too noisy in here," she told him bluntly.
Sebastian's grip on her wrist remained firm.
Then, his cool voice directed at the phone. "I have things to do. I'm hanging up."
"Sebastian!" Janetta's shriek echoed from the speaker.
It was a literal screech.
"Are you with Helena?! She's doing this on purpose! She's trying to ruin our relationship! How could you let her seduce you?!" Her voice grew increasingly shrill. "You're committing adultery! You're betraying me! She's the other woman, and she's married to Julian! This is going to ruin everything!"
But no matter how hysterically Janetta screamed, Sebastian remained unfazed.
He hung up the phone and looked back at Helena.
"Which shop?" he asked evenly.
"ThaiCha," Helena replied.
Coralia was always churning out trendy new spots.
Whenever something new popped up, the crowds were insane.
Unlike Riverton, delivery fees in Coralia were outrageously expensive.
So most people opted to buy things themselves.
Standing in line was just part of the experience.
"I'll go down with you," Sebastian said directly.
"Sebastian, are you sick in the head? Why do you insist on following me?" she frowned, her temper flaring.
"Yeah, I must be," he admitted without hesitation.
It seemed like no matter what she threw at him, he would unconditionally accept it.
She was so frustrated that her anger just deflated.
Refusing to waste another breath, she turned and marched out the door.
Sebastian followed her with cool composure.
Sebastian let out a soft chuckle. Without a care for who was watching, he leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips in broad daylight.
Helena frowned.
She had been caught completely off guard.
But it was a fleeting brush of lips, pulling back before it could deepen.
She was utterly helpless against his brazenness.
"I can stand in line, but have you figured out how you're going to pay me for my time?" he asked smoothly.
"I'm not begging you," she scoffed.
Without sparing him another glance, she spun on her heel and marched back toward the hotel entrance.
It wasn't that she was physically incapable of waiting in line; it was just that standing out there in her current situation was too risky.
She was too recognizable in Coralia.
She had no intention of inviting trouble.
As for Sebastian, she couldn't care less what he did.
There was definitely a hint of intentional provocation in her actions.
