Sebastian simply watched her, a faint smile playing on his lips.
He knew exactly what she was trying to pull.
So, he didn't argue.
He turned and strode across the street toward the shop.
Helena hadn't actually left; she had slipped into The Hotel Café.
The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a perfect view of the street outside.
She watched him take his place at the very back of the line.
He stood there with perfect patience, showing no signs of annoyance.
She observed him in quiet fascination.
Sebastian was simply too striking to blend in.
Even when keeping a low profile, he stuck out like a sore thumb in a crowd.
Besides, The Press in Coralia was notoriously ruthless.
Sure enough, swarming like sharks to blood, a mob of reporters instantly rushed him.
"Mr. Hayes, what brings you here today?"
"Mr. Hayes, how do you respond to Charlotte's parents publicly accusing Janetta Ramirez of murder?"
"Mr. Hayes, are you staying with Helena Wallace? Are you and Janetta getting a divorce?"
"Mr. Hayes..."
The reporters' questions grew increasingly invasive.
This wasn't Riverton; they had no reason to tiptoe around him.
They wouldn't even show mercy to the mayor, let alone a foreign billionaire.
Sebastian faced the onslaught with absolute composure, not backing down an inch.
"Apologies, but I don't answer questions regarding my personal life," he stated coolly.
When he wore that icy, unapproachable expression, normal people instinctively kept their distance.
He truly looked like someone you didn't want to mess with.
The local reporters weren't entirely foolish; they took a step back and stopped hounding him.
Sebastian went back to waiting in line with unbothered ease.
The line didn't magically speed up just because of his elite status.
He stood with one hand casually tucked in his pocket until he finally reached the front and ordered her Milk Tea.
But this time, Sebastian's Bodyguards intercepted her instantly.
"Mrs. Hayes, please head back," one bodyguard stated professionally.
Sebastian didn't spare her a second glance as he strode straight toward The Hotel Café.
He knew Helena was watching him through the glass.
How could he not sense her presence?
It was a natural, magnetic intuition between them.
They could effortlessly pinpoint each other in any room.
The moment he stepped inside, his eyes locked onto hers.
"Sebastian!" Janetta had spotted her too.
The sight pushed her over the edge.
Blinded by rage, she violently shoved past the bodyguards.
The men couldn't exactly use physical force on her; she was still legally his wife, after all.
Janetta stormed into the café.
Her furious gaze immediately zeroed in on Helena sitting quietly in the corner.
