Game Over, Mr. CEO: Your Wife Is Done (Winter and Chris) novel Chapter 472

Chapter 472

Outside the isolation room was a quiet hallway. Other than the medical staff, there was no one else around.

When Olivia came in from outside, Winter noticed her right away.

Olivia glanced at the closed door behind Winter. After what Dr. Lucas had just told her about the child inside, she wasn’t surprised to see Winter there.

She gave Winter a small nod.

Winter had been sitting beside Richie’s bed for a long time. Now that she had stood and walked a few steps, dizziness rushed over her. The lights overhead were harsh and painfully bright.

Suddenly, her knees weakened, and she pitched forward.

“Careful.”

Olivia hurried over and caught Winter by the arm just in time. With her other hand, she steadied Winter’s shoulder.

“Mrs. Xand… Ms. Scott, are you all right?”

Winter pressed a hand to her forehead and said softly, “Thank you. I’m just a little dizzy.”

Olivia helped her sit down on a nearby chair. As she let go of Winter’s arm, her gaze dropped and landed on the gauze wrapped around Winter’s wrist.

She froze for a second, then looked up at Winter, who was leaning against the wall with her eyes closed, trying to steady her breathing.

Even pale and worn down, Winter’s features were still so delicate that it was hard to look away.

So this was Winter Scott.

The name Chris had once scratched into the dirt with a branch on that deserted island.

A faint curve touched Olivia’s lips.

So that was what it had been.

After Winter’s color slowly improved a little, Olivia said gently, “I’ll walk you back to your room.”

Winter slowly opened her eyes. The dizziness made her eyelids feel heavy and strained.

She looked at the masked woman in front of her and recognized her as the doctor who had come upstairs with Gavin.

She was one of the doctors treating Richie.

“It’s all right. My friend is waiting outside. And you are?”

Winter nodded. “I saw him. He’s still asleep.”

“Asleep,” Mr. White repeated, a gentle smile appearing on his face.

He let out a soft sigh and looked back toward the ICU area, his eyes reddening.

After Dominic was thrown out of Chris’s room, he didn’t leave the hospital. Instead, he took a few work calls.

Then came a call from Lily’s ex-boyfriend.

The man asked for money, and Dominic agreed immediately.

“Take the money and disappear from Lily’s life for good. If I ever see you in Liono City again, I’ll break your other leg.”

The person on the other end said something, and Dominic’s expression darkened.

He suddenly remembered seeing Lily kiss that man years ago.

She could be kind to anyone but that cold, distant side of her seemed to be reserved only for Dominic.

He let out a cold laugh and said into the phone, “I’ll fix Lily’s terrible taste myself. Take the money and get lost.
