William didn’t miss the slight change in Chris’s expression, but his gaze remained open and steady.

Winter’s hand tightened slightly. Then she gave a self-mocking smile.

Now that Chris had caught up, leaving would be almost impossible. Her chances were close to zero. At a time like this, she couldn’t let him turn his anger on William.

William drew his gun at once. “Don’t scare her.”

Chris didn’t need to give an order. The bodyguards beside him immediately aimed their guns at William.
