Fluffy Mates Chase Their Boss on Survival Show novel Chapter 345

Chapter 345 Money Talks

Layla crooked a finger at her mates. “Alright, let’s go. We’ve got lunch to make, and then we’re hunting this afternoon.”

Her attitude was the definition of a taunt.

Stella stomped her foot, fuming, ready to chase after her, but Leonard grabbed her arm and shook his head gently. “Ms. Ciara Grant will send people soon. Don’t let her get to you. Rebuilding the cabin is what matters right now.”

Stella glared at Layla’s retreating back with burning resentment, then stormed off to call Ciara. She hadn’t expected Ciara to say she was coming in person.

Before long, a luxury interstellar cruiser was hovering over the wreckage of Stella’s camp.

Ciara stepped out, flanked by bodyguards. She scanned the area but didn’t see Layla anywhere. She let out a cold laugh, then turned to Stella.

Stella immediately put on her sweetest, most adorable face and ran into Ciara’s arms, clinging to her. “I’ve missed you so much, Mom,” she cooed.

Ciara’s expression melted into pure affection. She stroked Stella’s hair and smiled warmly. “You called, so of course I came right away. My baby girl, you’ve lost so much weight. Has it been that hard out here?”

Then her gaze snapped to Leonard and Julian, cold as ice. “What exactly have you two been doing to take care of her?”

Leonard and Julian exchanged a look and dropped their heads.

The viewers jumped on it immediately.

[So Stella’s males were planted by the Grant family after all.]

[I always figured they were assigned, not chosen. Called it from day one.]

[She treats them like garbage. No surprise there.]

[Seriously, who would put up with Stella unless the Grant family was paying them a fortune?]

Ciara saw the comments scrolling by and narrowed her eyes. She shot her assistant a look, and the assistant slipped away quietly.

Within minutes, all the hostile comments were buried under a wave of praise for Stella. Money talks.

Ciara stroked Stella’s head with tender affection and murmured, “Don’t worry. I’ll handle everything.”

A smug, triumphant light flickered in Stella’s eyes.

Too bad Layla isn’t here. Watching Mom shower me with love while ignoring her own flesh and blood would eat her alive.

Right on cue, Ciara’s voice rang out from outside the cabin, sharp and commanding. “Layla! Get out here!”

Layla stood up, but Carson caught her arm. His gaze was shadowed with emotions she couldn’t quite read, and his face was tight.

“Let me go see what she wants first,” he said.

Carson had some history with the Grant family, so he wasn’t a bad choice for this.

But Layla didn’t want to dance around the issue. She wanted it settled, once and for all. Still, seeing him volunteer, she couldn’t really say no.

She just warned him, “They’re a pair of snakes. If they won’t listen to reason, don’t bother.”

Carson nodded and walked out.

Stella’s eyes darkened the second she saw it was him and not Layla. She blinked, putting on her innocent face. “Where’s Layla? Mom wants to see her. This is family business, so maybe you should stay out of it.”

Carson gave her a flat look, then shifted his gaze to Ciara with a slight nod. “Ms. Ciara Grant. It’s been a while.”

Ciara had to tread carefully with Carson. The two families had extensive business ties, and in a lot of ways, the Grant family relied on him.
