Bait for a Gentleman novel Chapter 120

That necklace draped across her collarbone, shimmering with a soft, breathtaking brilliance.

He knew it would look incredible on her.

Sebastian's gaze drifted upward, locking onto her hazel eyes.

The corners of her eyes hitched up slightly, as if she was entirely confident that he would follow her.

It had been over a month.

More than thirty days. No phone calls. No texts.

Yet, with a single look, he had willingly followed her upstairs.

Audrina spoke first. "Mr. Hawthorne, you've been doing this all night. Can you control yourself? What exactly do you want?"

The man's hands settled on her slender waist, his palms pressing firmly against the fabric of her dress.

He lowered his head slightly, his lips hovering right next to her ear. His voice dropped to a low, rough murmur. "Do you like the necklace?"

Audrina's red lips curled into a smirk, holding his gaze in the mirror. "You stared at me the entire night just to ask me that?"

He didn't answer. He simply dipped his head, his lips gently grazing the back of her neck.

Like the brush of a feather, a fleeting taste.

His burning breath, carrying a faint scent of crisp cedar and a hint of expensive wine, swept across her skin.

The alcohol had already heightened her senses, and it had been so long since they were this close. Audrina instinctively bit her lip, her chest rising and falling.

"Why didn't you call me?" Sebastian's voice fell from above. "Have me draft your contracts, use me, and throw me away?"

"I assumed you were busy." Her breathing was a little unsteady. "Besides, you didn't contact me either, did you?"

Sebastian lowered his head again, his lips tracing a path from her earlobe down to the nape of her neck.

Light pecks, slow, deliberate pressure.

Restrained, yet overwhelmingly tender.

"Didn't you know I was mad?" he murmured against the sensitive skin of her neck.

Surrounded by his intoxicating scent, Audrina felt her rationality crumbling to pieces. She couldn't even formulate an answer.

She arched her back slightly, then caught herself, her fingers gripping the edge of the marble sink.

"Don't..." Her voice hitched in her throat, laced with a faint tremble.
