She spun the steering wheel and drove straight toward the Sutton estate.
Forty minutes later, the car rolled to a stop outside the main gates.
The massive doors of the traditional courtyard were pulled open by the staff. Inside, the grounds were expansive, filled with winding paths and layered gardens.
The butler hurried out to meet her. Audrina asked, "Benson, is Waldo here?"
Benson stared at the incredibly flashy sports car and paused.
His mind raced. Ms. Monroe really had some nerve.
With everything going on, she couldn't even try to keep a low profile? Thank god Waldo wasn't home. If he saw this, he'd probably have a heart attack.
He let out a derisive scoff, lifting his chin dismissively. "He is in Portsmith recuperating. Mrs. Sutton is inside."
Audrina acted as if she hadn't seen his expression, giving a brief nod before locking the car and stepping out.
Since she was already here, she might as well clear the air.
She followed Benson into the main living room.
Tamara was sitting on the sofa, sipping tea. Hearing footsteps, she shot a side-eye toward the door.
Her tone was flat and icy. "Audrina."
"Mrs. Sutton."
Tamara took another sip of tea and remained silent, clearly intending to make her sweat.
But Audrina simply walked over and sat down on the sofa directly across from her.
Seeing her complete lack of deference, Tamara slammed her teacup onto the table, splashing water over the rim.
Her face darkened with displeasure. "You're here just in time. I was just looking for you to have a little chat."
"Go ahead."
Tamara immediately put on her most arrogant, aristocratic airs, practically spitting the words:
