‘Am I seeing things?’ Jack thought, blinking hard, double-checking that the woman Jared was holding wasn’t Lizzie. He was totally stunned. “Wait, does Mr. Rundell have another woman?’

Only when their figures disappeared down the hall did Jack realize he had just caught onto something he really shouldn’t have known.

Inside the luxury car, Natasha curled up in Jared’s arms, docile as a sleepy kitten. Jared instructed the driver to take them to his villa.

“I’m not going… Urgh…” Natasha protested, but her stomach twisted suddenly, and a wave of nausea hit her.

“Are you okay?” Jared asked, pulling her closer, worry clear in his voice.

Natasha shook her head, and before she could say anything, the car suddenly took a sharp turn. Caught off guard, she tumbled right onto Jared’s lap. Her whole body stiffened with awkwardness, her face burning like fire.

Natasha frantically tried to get off Jared, panic written all over her face. But Jared held her firmly, pressing her back down using his sheer strength, stubbornly refusing to let her budge, as if he was deliberately trying to embarrass her to death.

“Let me go…” Natasha pleaded frantically, struggling to get away, but Jared refused to loosen his grip, not even a bit.

“Dare to drink that much again next time?” he asked.

Natasha glared at him resentfully. “Why do you care about me? If you want to meddle, go take care of your Ms. Hopkins!”

Jared laughed, not the least bit annoyed. “Wow, you’re really jealous, aren’t you?”

Natasha snapped back, “Who’s jealous? Me? Please.”

‘No way am I ever admitting I’m jealous about him and Lizzie, Natasha muttered inwardly.

Jared’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “Whoever thought I was sending Lizzie home and drank herself silly is jealous.”

Natasha’s face twitched; she just stared at him, dumbfounded. “This damn guy is clearly calling me out,’ she thought, feeling both annoyed and embarrassed. ‘I can’t believe he saw right through me.’ Natasha felt a mix of anger and embarrassment.

“Not me…” she protested. But before she could finish, the car suddenly hit a speed bump, and even the fanciest ride couldn’t avoid a jolt. The wheels rolled over it, and Natasha felt a wave of nausea crashing through her. “Urgh!” she gagged, barely holding it in.

She leaned over, looking like she was about to throw up over his lap. “Go ahead, if you dare,” Jared taunted, frowning and shooting her a glare, clearly not believing she would do it.

But just as he finished speaking, there was the unmistakable sound of her puking. Everyone in the car was losing their minds. Jared was in shock, completely stunned.

Natasha shrugged off his hand from her back, grabbed a tissue from her bag, and wiped her mouth. She looked calm and said without even a hint of guilt for puking on him. “You literally told me to.”

Jared was at a loss for words; his good-looking face turned dark. He didn’t even dare look down at the mess on his lap. ‘God knows just how much of a clean freak I am, he thought. ‘But now…

If any other woman had dared to do so to him, he would have thrown her out of the car without a second thought. But it was Natasha. When it came to her, he was totally helpless.

As soon as they stepped into the villa, Jared rushed straight to the bathroom. Natasha had thrown up in the car earlier, and now the booze was finally wearing off.

However, her mouth still tasted nasty. Therefore, she followed Jared into the bathroom to rinse her mouth. But just as she stepped in, Natasha saw Jared completely naked, about to hop into the shower.
