The way it immediately hit me, after listening to him, that they had lied to him.

The moment he stepped into the attic, I quickly stopped the recording and rushed towards the exit.

It was locked so I looked for another exit.

I only let out a deep breath when I climbed out of the kitchen window and made it beyond the mansion's main gate.
