Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 602

Across the way, Damaris, having emptied the canister's contents onto herself, tossed it aside and walked slowly to the railing.

She reached out, grabbed hold, and climbed on top of it.

Then she took something out of her pocket.

The image was too blurry to see clearly.

In the next second, a ball of fire erupted on her body.

So, what Damaris had been holding must have been a lighter.

The flames instantly engulfed her in a fireball, from head to toe.

As the fire consumed her, Damaris did something strange. She didn't struggle. Instead, she spread her arms wide, and like a burning butterfly, she fell from the rooftop.

The last thing on the video was the filmer's piercing scream and the woman's terrified cries.

The video ended.

In a panic, Janina immediately searched online for news of Damaris's self-immolation.

The news had just broken a few minutes earlier.

Janina clicked on one of the articles, which contained a video taken after Damaris jumped.

The sky was now completely dark. Police cars and an ambulance were parked below the building.

Janina zoomed in on the video, seeing a stretcher with a charred corpse covered by a white sheet. Only a few blackened fingers were faintly visible.

Many people in the crowd were craning their necks to get a look at the stretcher, and their chatter could be heard.

"She seemed fine just a few days ago, even made a public statement with her husband. Why would she suddenly decide to kill herself after just a couple of weeks? It's so good to be alive. What a shame."

"I saw the video of her beating up the mistress on the street. Later, when she and her husband came forward to say it was all a misunderstanding, I felt something was off. Damaris isn't the type to back down. There must have been something more to this story."

"What else could it be? Her husband left her for the other woman, and now they even have a child together. She couldn't take the blow, so she chose to protest this way."
