“Joseph, what do you think of the newcomer, Yvette Quinn?” Cora folded her arms, watching Joseph brush his teeth with a soft expression in her eyes.

Joseph stopped brushing his teeth. After gargling his mouth, he finally said, “You really think someone who was appointed to this position is just some nobody?

“She landed the role either for her beauty or her skills. But all I’ve seen so far is her looks. I don’t know if she’s capable enough.”

Cora wasn’t in a hurry to make her point. She turned off the light and got into bed with Joseph.

“I’m not in the mood for anything else. Let’s sleep.” Joseph was really tired, but it wasn’t as if he couldn’t do it.

Cora had been busy all day as well, but she had already felt refreshed on the ride home in the smooth, comfortable RV. She had even taken a nap after dinner earlier.

Besides, Cora also had something to say to Joseph.

“Honey, I’m sure you’re tired of taking orders from others. Have you ever thought about going for the hospital director position?”

“I’m not qualified for that post, nor do I deserve the position. Let’s not talk about something so unrealistic.”

Cora dropped the subject.

“If his life is no longer in danger, that’s good news. When will he be able to recover and be discharged?”

Bernard immediately felt much less worried. He had no idea why, but even though Frank was still in the ICU, Joseph’s explanation made him feel Frank would pull through.

“Oh? Not for a long time. That depends on how his treatment goes.”

“Let Yvette do whatever she wants. Just stay on Joseph’s side.”

“Joseph? What’s so special about him? Why would I take his side?”

“Don’t you know who he is? He’s Bernard Lowell’s son-in-law and the husband of Cora Lowell, the CEO of Lowell Group.”

“What? He told me that his wife is a nightclub hostess. How could she be Cora Lowell? You must be mistaken.’
