When They Beg I Rise (Lemira) novel Chapter 1121

Hearing the phone ring, Lemira Langston turned her head to glance at it.

Orion Everhart held her hand, their fingers tightly intertwined.

"Can't you focus a little?" he murmured.

Lemira curled up in his embrace, reaching out to trace his toned abdomen. His physique was as spectacular as ever.

Orion's hand slipped beneath the hem of her shirt, gripping her slender waist as his breathing grew heavier.

The surface of the study desk felt cool against her skin, but wrapped in his arms, her heart overflowed with pure bliss.

The next day.

When Lemira woke up, she blinked at the slightly unfamiliar bedroom.

A pair of strong arms held her securely, filling her with a profound sense of happiness.

"Awake?"

Orion's voice was deep and raspy with sleep. He pressed a kiss to her ear. "About last night... are you still sore?"

"I'm okay."

Lemira hid half her face beneath the duvet, a blush creeping up her cheeks.

Last night, she and Orion had finally crossed the line into complete intimacy. Though they had been together for a while, they had always held back from taking that final step.

Orion kissed her forehead. "What do you want for breakfast?"

Lemira thought for a moment. "I don't really want a Western-style breakfast."

Orion fell silent.

Seeing his expression, Lemira burst into laughter. "I'm just kidding! You're cooking for me yourself—how could I possibly be picky?"

Orion squeezed her hand, lowering his head to kiss her knuckles. "You don't have to comfort me. I've only just started practicing my culinary skills, but I guarantee I'll surpass Caleb Sterling eventually."

"Why do you need to compete with him? He has way more free time than you do, so obviously he gets more practice."
