When They Beg I Rise (Lemira) novel Chapter 1085

Lemira scoffed coldly. "Because karma is real."

Amelia refused to back down, her eyes burning with resentment. "You ruined everything!"

"To the Sinclair family, everything is always someone else's fault. You never take an ounce of accountability. Unfortunately for you, the judge won't care about your delusions; the judge only cares about evidence. Instead of sitting here seething with hatred, you should figure out how to spend your final days of freedom."

With that, Lemira turned on her heel and walked out, refusing to waste another second in that toxic room.

Behind her, Amelia's frantic screams echoed off the concrete walls. "Get back here! Both of you, get back here!"

But the guards simply grabbed Amelia and dragged her away.

Stepping outside, Lemira saw Amanda standing quietly by the side of the road, wiping a single tear from her cheek.

Lemira didn't approach immediately, wanting to give Amanda a moment to process the heavy emotional closure.

She looked up at Orion. "Amelia is completely out of her mind."

"I deeply regret not ending my mother's friendship with her years ago. If I had exposed Amelia's true nature sooner, it never would have escalated to this."

Orion was consumed by a suffocating wave of guilt.

"You can't blame yourself for this. Until the truth came out, no one could have imagined Amelia was capable of something so psychotic."

Amelia's sheer insanity had crossed lines no normal person could ever anticipate.

Amanda quickly composed herself and turned back to Lemira. "I'm absolutely testifying at the trial. A woman that venomous needs to pay the ultimate price."

Lemira stepped forward and gave Amanda a tight hug. "Once the trial is over, this nightmare ends for good."

Amanda's eyes welled up again, and she nodded fiercely. "Yes. It does."

Lemira knew they had all been pawns in Amelia's sick game. Her ruthless selfishness had cost Lemira her parents, and Amanda had narrowly escaped being murdered.

Chapter 1085 2

Orion followed Lemira's gaze and immediately noticed the woman.

He frowned. "Why is she back in the country?"

"Stella said she came back to handle some corporate business. She'll probably leave soon."

Lemira looked away. "She looks so much like Evelina, but their vibes are entirely different. They aren't the same kind of person at all."

Orion's gaze darkened slightly. "I had her investigated. She has absolutely zero connection to The Black family. They're completely unrelated."

"I know, Stella told me the same thing. It just feels like a crazy coincidence."

Later, Lemira and Orion walked out of the restaurant together.
