Everyone on set was utterly stunned.
Yvonne was still frantically trying to pull the apple out of her mouth. Given how hard Juno threw it, a few of her teeth had likely been knocked loose.
Juno walked away briskly, moving as if she had never even been there.
Because she left so abruptly, she ended up completely missing Joel Norwood.
But Rhiannon ran right into him.
She approached him cautiously, calling out softly, "Joel?"
Joel turned around, looking slightly confused by the unfamiliar face.
"I'm Rhiannon Corrington. We met at the party the other day."
"Oh."
He remembered now. The girl who paid someone to frame Juno.
With that realization, his polite demeanor cooled instantly. "What do you want?"
Rhiannon didn't seem to care about his attitude, simply asking, "Are you waiting for Juno?"
"Yeah."
"She's not here. She left."
Joel looked disappointed. "Where did she go?"
Rhiannon shook her head and pulled out her phone, showing him a picture. "I happened to catch this earlier. She got into this car and drove off."
Joel's eyes darkened. It was a Rolls-Royce Ghost—worth around five million—and the license plate alone proved the owner was someone incredibly powerful.
When a beautiful girl gets into a luxury car like that, anyone with a brain would assume the worst. Especially when the man opening the door for her looked incredibly deferential.
Rhiannon spoke thoughtfully, "She's been leaving early and coming back late recently. Joel, you might want to rethink pursuing her. Oh, by the way."
She pulled a neatly folded jacket from her bag. "This is yours, isn't it? I remember you wearing it at the party."
Joel took it, clearly suspicious. "How did you get this?"
