The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 26

Braden, clutching his ribs, spat curses as he scrambled back. "Who the hell has a death wish, ruining my fun?!"

"Your worst nightmare," Juno spat, her voice laced with sub-zero venom.

Before Braden could even process her words, Juno lunged forward with terrifying ferocity. She slammed her hand into the back of his head, smashing his face directly onto the marble vanity counter.

Braden's cheek was pressed against the freezing porcelain. Water splashed into his eyes as he thrashed wildly, but Juno pinned him down so brutally he couldn't move an inch.

That wasn't enough.

She delivered a ruthless, calculated kick directly to his knee. A sickening *crack* echoed through the room. Braden let out an agonizing, blood-curdling shriek. "Ahhhhhhhh!!!"

His leg gave out instantly, his body crumpling as he lost all support.

Juno snatched up the broken mop handle and viciously shattered both of his arms. She then shoved his face violently under the faucet.

She cranked the water on full blast. Freezing water gushed down, forcing Braden to choke and sputter uncontrollably.

He wanted to run, but he was completely broken.

Juno casually tossed the stick aside, turned, and supported Rhoda out of the restroom. Right as they exited, they practically bumped into Chuck.

"Give me a jacket," Juno demanded.

Chuck didn't move. Neither did Miles.

Juno furrowed her brows, glaring at the two men.

Chuck looked at Miles. "Take it off. What are you staring at? Are you waiting for me to strip you myself?"

Miles finally snapped out of his daze and frantically shrugged off his blazer. "Oh! Right, right, right!"

Juno grabbed Miles's tailored jacket and draped it securely over Rhoda's shivering shoulders, wrapping her up tight.

"I need two men."

The second Juno spoke, two massive bodyguards materialized from the shadows. "Ms. Mercer."

"Escort her home safely."

"Understood."

The two guards gently supported Rhoda and led her out of the building.

Juno turned her piercing gaze back to Chuck. "Never drag me to one of these events again." She paused, then added, "And you should go to fewer of them yourself."

They were mindless wastes of time.
