And someone of that caliber answered directly to Juno.
Morgan immediately went to execute the order.
The following day, Jeremy Jagger paid a visit.
Gwendolyn stood up from the couch. "Jeremy?"
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
Jeremy smiled. "It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. Am I not welcome?"
"Of course you are." Gwendolyn gestured for the staff to prepare some snacks.
Jeremy waved a hand, handing his coat to a maid. "Don't go to any trouble."
He walked over and sat on the sofa. "Is Juno home?"
Just as he asked, Rhiannon emerged from her room, her face lighting up. "Uncle Jeremy!~"
She ran over, and Jeremy stood up to give her a warm hug. "Look at you, still acting like a little kid."
Rhiannon beamed. "What brings you here today?"
"I needed to talk to Juno about something." Jeremy didn't sugarcoat it.
The best way to prevent Rhiannon from overthinking was absolute honesty.
A flash of discomfort crossed Rhiannon's face, though she quickly masked it. "She's upstairs. I'll go get her."
Jeremy smiled warmly. "Thank you, Rhiannon."
"No problem!"
After Rhiannon went upstairs, Jeremy turned to his sister. "How are they getting along?"
"Alright. Nothing major has happened so far."
"Rhiannon is highly sensitive, so make sure you're looking out for her. Don't let her feel alienated. She's lived with the Corringtons for years, which makes her family. But I also want to make sure Juno is being supported. We can't let her develop any emotional issues, and we certainly can't let her feel inadequate."
At the word inadequate, Gwendolyn paused in deep thought.
Inadequacy was a concept that simply did not exist in Juno's universe.
Moments later, Juno descended the stairs. Unlike Rhiannon's bubbly, affectionate greeting, her demeanor was composed and grounded. She walked over and gave a polite nod. "Uncle Jeremy."
"Have a seat. I just came by to ask—are you the one handling the latest project for Muse Magazine?"
Rhiannon, who had been about to walk away, instantly froze in her tracks.
