Chapter Ninety Four
Willow stood there for a long moment after the door closed behind Damon.
Her fingers were still resting-lightly against her lips.
“…what just happened?” she whispered.
Because she truly didn’t understand.
How could he-
How could he make her feel so much pain…
So much anger…
So much rejection…
And then-
In the very next moment-
Make her want him?
Her chest tightened.
It didn’t make sense.
Nothing about him made sense.
“In Black Howler Pack…”
She murmured to herself.
“He was a demanding bastard.”
Cold.
Sharp.
Uncaring.
A wolf who didn’t hesitate to hurt her with his words.
A wolf who stood in front of her-
And called another female his mate.
Her jaw clenched.
“And now…”
She looked toward the door.
“Now he acts like…”

<Chapter Nietykal Her voice trailed off.
Like she mattered.
Like she was important.
Like losing her-
Would destroy him.
Her chest tightened again.
“We are important to him.”
Winter’s voice was soft-
Certain.
“We are his mate.”
Willow shook her head.
“Yes.”
Her tone turned bitter.
“We are important…”
“For the alliance.”
“No.”
Winter pushed back immediately.
“We are important because we are his mate.”
A pause.
“I can feel his wolf.”
“They are sorry”
Willow closed her eyes briefly.
“I don’t have time to think about this.”
Her voice hardened.
“We need to get ready.”
A breath.
“Apparently, the king is waiting for us.”
Her tone turned mocking at the last word.

“Alright, Carmela.”
A faint, polite smile formed.
“Can you take me to the dining hall?”
“Of course, my queen.”
Carmela smiled warmly.
They walked together through the halls.
And Willow noticed it immediately.
The difference.
The way wolves looked at her.
Curious.
Respectful.
Not questioning.
Not doubting.
Accepting.
The moment they entered the dining hall-
Everything stopped.
Voices died.
Eyes turned.
Every wolf in the room looked at her.
And then-
Damon stood.
Without hesitation.
He walked toward her.
Took her hand gently-
And pressed a kiss against it.
“My queen.”
Willow froze.
“Come,” he said softly.

Let me introduce you”
He released a controlled wave of his aura-
Just enough to command attention.
“Everyone,” Damon said, his voice steady and clear.
“This is Willow. My mate. My queen.”
A pause.
“The mate the Goddess gave me.”
Willow couldn’t speak.
Her mind was spinning.
Who is this wolf?
Who is this male… acting like he’s proud to have me?
“This is not the Damon I know…”
“It’s nice to meet you, Willow.”
An older woman stepped forward, smiling warmly.
“I’m Natasha.”
“And this is my mate, Allan.”
Damon glanced at them.
“They raised me,” he said quietly.
“After my parents died.”
Willow blinked.
Something softened in her chest-
Just a little.
“What is going on?” she asked quietly, leaning slightly toward him.
“Why are you acting like this?”
Damon didn’t answer directly.
“Let’s eat first. Then we’ll talk.”
He guided her to the table.
Pulled out her chair.

Served her food.
Every movement-
Careful.
Attentive.
They ate in silence.
But Willow’s mind was anything but quiet.
This wasn’t the same male.
Not the one she met.
Not the one who forced her here.
This one-
Was trying.
And she didn’t know what to do with that.
After breakfast-
They moved to his office.
Damon.
Conall.
Natasha.
Allan.
And Willow.
The moment the door closed-
“Now tell me.”
Her voice was firm.
“What is going on?”
Damon didn’t hesitate.
“I told you. I want to earn your forgiveness. And be your proper mate. In every sense of the word.”
A pause.
“I just don’t know how yet.”
“What?”

Natasha’s voice cut in.
“Why would you need to earn her forgiveness?”
Silence.
Damon and Conall didn’t move.
Didn’t answer.
“My dear…”
Natasha turned to Willow gently.
“Can you tell me what happened?”
And Willow did.
Everything.
From the moment she met Damon-
To him calling Diana his mate.
To the truth about the Silver Wolf.
She told them about her brother-
Talon Ravenwood.
About the bond.
About the pain.
About being forced to leave.
About the lie she had to tell her family.
About the threat to the alliance.
And finally-
About the attack.
And the mark.
By the time she finished-
Natasha looked horrified.
Her mouth slightly open.
Her eyes wide.
