"Having dinner with a friend, Mr. Calhoun? Hope I'm not interrupting," Bianca purrs, flipping her hair and giving Coen a sweet, lingering look.

"Perfect timing. This is my college friend, Coen. He's stepping in to manage Dennis Group for Tara," Danny introduces him briefly. Both men had clear front-row seats to her throwing a drink in a man's face two minutes ago. Tara's friends really are lethal.

"Oh, really? What a coincidence! Mind if I join you?" Without waiting for an answer, Bianca slides right into the booth next to Coen.

As she sits, a wave of intoxicating perfume washes over him. Coen raises an eyebrow.

"You two should talk. You'll be partners from now on," Danny says, checking his watch and standing up. "I'm going to pick up Tara. Enjoy."

"Leaving me here?" Coen gives his old friend a dry, knowing look.

"You're a grown man. You'll survive," Danny replies without an ounce of sympathy. Outside of Tara, his empathy is nonexistent. He grabs the bill. "Drinks are on me."

"Don't worry, Mr. Calhoun is just eager to see my best friend. I'll keep you company. No need to be scared," Bianca smiles brightly, her voice practically dripping with honey.

Coen doesn't say a word, just offering a polite, distant smile.

"Mr. Traller, since we're going to be managing the company together, we should exchange contacts. Give me your number?" Bianca pulls out her phone, ready to scan.

"No need. I don't use messaging apps. We can communicate in the corporate group chat," Coen declines smoothly.

Bianca stares at him.

Coen pauses, looking at her bright, victorious smile. He gives her a subtle, amused smirk. "Fine."

He pulls his phone out of his pocket.

Bianca cheers internally. There isn't a single handsome man she can't conquer. Except for Danny, of course—his predatory aura is way too terrifying. Only Tara can handle a beast like that.

"Here," Coen says.

"Great!" Bianca beams, scanning his code.
