The Scorned Heiress: No More Mercy novel Chapter 607

Lindsay is warm and unassuming, and Tara kind of likes her. Thanks to her extensive medical expertise, Tara’s diagnostic intuition is rarely wrong. If Lindsay ignores the warning signs, it could lead to a catastrophic event.

Before Lindsay can process the advice, Bonnie shoves her way forward, her voice echoing off the marble walls.

"Are you looking for trouble, Tara? How dare you curse my grandmother!"

"I’m pointing out a medical observation," Tara replies smoothly. "If a doctor tells you you're sick, is that a curse for you?"

"You're not a doctor! You’re just a venomous bitch trying to curse her!"

"Enjoy your meal, Mrs. Sinclair. Please take my advice seriously. We’ll be going to our room now." Ignoring the raving girl entirely, Tara offers a polite nod and guides Tricia toward their adjacent private dining room.

Inside the hallway, Lindsay finally processes the encounter. She wants to tell Tara that her assessment was terrifyingly accurate. Since the tragic death of her youngest son, Garrett, she has been plagued by night terrors, crushing anxiety, and heart palpitations. She spends her nights agonizing over Gavin’s condition.

"God, I hate that Bonnie! I was so close to ripping her a new one. Why did you stop me?"

"She's just a pawn, Tricia. Getting manipulated by someone much smarter," Tara says calmly. "There’s no point in wrestling in the mud with her." Tricia finally managed to shake off Alec's relentless harassment; Tara isn't about to let her get targeted by another lunatic.

"Are you sure you can handle all these psychos targeting you?" Tricia asks, genuinely worried.
