"Celia," Talbot commanded, his voice dark and impatient. "Apologize to the administration and Evelyn immediately. Haven't you made enough of a humiliating scene?"

She stood her ground, staring dead at him. "I didn't do anything wrong. I'm not apologizing."

Talbot rubbed the bridge of his nose in sheer frustration, his voice rising in anger. "There's a limit to these tantrums, Celia! You're only making me despise you more!"

"Apologize right now, or I'm telling Sheridan every single detail of what you did today."

He pulled out his favorite trump card.

Talbot knew exactly how much Celia cherished her grandfather.

Evelyn took a timid step forward, carefully tugging at Talbot's sleeve, her voice trembling. "She doesn't need to apologize to me... She was just... confused for a moment..."

The office door swung open.

With one hand resting casually in his tailored trousers, his expression was completely detached. "If you have something to say, Mr. Forrester, you can say it to me."

The spacious office instantly felt suffocatingly small. The room went dead silent.

Celia noticed that the moment Alistair stepped into the room, all the chaotic accusations and pathetic sobbing evaporated into thin air.
