Alistair: [?]
Alistair: [You're at the office?]
Celia smirked, her fingers tapping quickly across the screen.
Celia: [Yes. Things are a bit busy today, so they called me in last minute.]
Celia: [Could you take a look and tell me what's wrong with my files?]
This time, he didn't reply immediately.
He seemed to be carefully reviewing the contents of the image she had sent.
A few moments later, another message popped up.
Alistair: [What are these?]
Celia: [Project files Mr. Lambert asked me to organize. But he said I did a terrible job, so I wanted to ask your advice.]
She finished explaining, but no reply came.
Frowning slightly, she narrowed her eyes in confusion.
Why wasn't he responding?
Was her hint not obvious enough?
Her fingers hovered over the keyboard as she tried to think of what to add.
But before she could type another word, the phone was snatched out of her hands from behind.
Startled, she turned to see who it was.
Larry held her phone, glaring down at her with a mocking sneer. "I told you to organize files, and you're sitting here playing on your phone?"
"I wasn't, Mr. Lambert," she replied evenly. "I was looking up the proper formatting for the documents."
"Still lying! I literally saw you typing!"
With that, he flipped the screen toward himself, intending to read her messages!
He only had a split second to register that the profile picture looked vaguely familiar before the phone was swiftly snatched back out of his grasp!
Her reflexes were so fast he didn't even get a chance to read the name.
"Celia, you—"
