The call connected almost instantly. Alistair's expression was indifferent, his gaze dead and cold.
"Franklin Forrester."
This time, there was no polite "Mr. Forrester." No pleasantries.
He used his full name.
—He directly called Talbot's father by his full name.
The moment the man on the other end heard Alistair use his full name, he flew into an utter panic.
Whatever Franklin said through the receiver didn't matter. Alistair's gaze remained icy, staring at Talbot with undisguised contempt.
"Come to the Capital University auditorium. Pick him up yourself." He paused, his voice freezing over. "As for what comes next, I expect to see your sincerity."
Without waiting for a response, Alistair ended the call.
Talbot went entirely pale. He took a hesitant step forward. "Mr. Zucker, there's no need to take it this far, is there?"
Alistair looked at him calmly. "How far is that?"
"Calling... calling my father here," Talbot stammered, his voice sounding hollow. "This is just a petty squabble between the younger generation. What do you mean by dragging my father into this?"
"It means you are not worthy of speaking to me." Alistair's tone was dismissive and brutal.
Talbot's eyes bulged in shock. He stared at the terrifyingly cold man, completely rendered speechless.
"Talbot, if you can't learn basic respect, you have no right to inherit the Forrester Group," Alistair stated evenly. "Franklin has plenty of illegitimate children scattered around. You aren't his only option."
He dropped the bombshell with such agonizing indifference, as if he were discussing the weather.
Hearing such explosive high-society gossip, the crowd of students immediately began staring at Talbot with twisted, judgmental expressions.
The girl tucked against Alistair's chest kept her head down, staying perfectly quiet, though her crying had finally subsided.
