The Platonic Trap novel Chapter 1

Celia Stafford was the Capital's high society's quintessential good girl. Sweet, beautiful, and completely obedient. In the eyes of others, she was a harmless, delicate wallflower.

Lately, however, she had been brewing a plan.

Inside the top-floor private elevator of Elysian Club, the most luxurious private establishment in the Capital.

The man stood in a perfectly tailored suit, his expression aloof. The polished, enclosed space reflected the sharp contours of his profile.

Behind him, several men bowed slightly, their faces plastered with fawning smiles, yet they were so terrified they barely dared to breathe.

"I'm sorry, I don't want anything to drink. My family is here to pick me up."

Celia's voice trembled with fear. She was trapped against the wall by several burly men. Dressed in a pristine white dress, she kept her head down, her eyes rimmed with red, trying desperately to maintain her composure.

"Come on, sweetheart, that's the oldest excuse in the book. It's just a drink with the boys, don't be shy..."
