Chapter 21 

Zachary walked slowly along the streets of the town, with the evening sun casting its last rays on him, creating a long shadow. 

On both sides of the street were low houses, and the air was filled with the aroma of food. In the distance, the sound of horse hooves could be heard. Zachary looked up and saw a little girl riding a small horse, swaying as she ran towards him. 

Suddenly, the little girl’s horse got scared, lifting its front hooves abruptly. The little girl screamed in fear, losing her balance, and it looked like she was about to fall off the horse. Zachary instinctively rushed over and grabbed the little girl, and they both fell heavily to the ground. 

The little girl turned pale with fear, tears swirling in her eyes. Zachary, disregarding his own pain, quickly checked her injuries and asked, “Are you okay?” 

The little girl shook her head, her voice tinged with a hint of tears, “Thank you… Why did you risk your life to save me?”

The little girl’s face lit up with a bright smile, saying, “Then I wish you happiness!” 

A hint of tenderness flashed in Zachary’s eyes as he softly said, “Will be happy.” 

The next morning, Trey knocked on Zachary’s door, only to find it empty. 

His heart sank suddenly, and he hurriedly rushed out of the hotel, searching everywhere for Zachary’s figure. Eventually, he found Zachary by the seaside. 

Zachary stood on the pier, his gaze fixed on the distant sea, his expression calm enough to make one anxious. Trey approached, his voice tinged with urgency, “Mr. Aldrich, we should go back 

now.” 

Zachary turned his head, glanced at him, and said lightly, “You go buy some souvenirs first, I’ll be
