Chapter 9 Clues
After that day, Niko and I once again parted ways unhappily.
I really couldn’t understand why he didn’t want to divorce me.
He clearly loved Madeleine, and he was also very repulsed by me. Wasn’t divorce exactly what he
wanted?
I couldn’t quite figure out what this man was thinking, but I didn’t want to figure it out either.
The next day, I found a way to move out.
Niko came home and immediately called me when he found out about this.
“Kayley, what do you mean?”
“What does that mean? We are getting divorced; we can’t possibly continue living together.”
I said, “You write the agreement as soon as possible.”
I hadn’t finished speaking, and he hung up the phone directly.
I directly threw my phone on the table, too lazy to attend to it.
Just as I finished tidying up the house, someone knocked on the door.
I thought it was a delivery, so I opened the door, only to find Niko standing at the doorstep,
suppressing his anger.
My face changed instantly, “What are you doing here? No, how did you know I was here…”
Niko walked in directly and took a glance at the decoration inside the rented house. “You would rather live in this doghouse–like place than stay with me and argue for a separation?”
I took a deep breath and said, “Niko, I’m not throwing a tantrum, I really want to divorce you!”
Things had developed to this point, and I was also a bit confused.
“Why didn’t you divorce me?”
I looked at him in confusion, “Isn’t this what you wanted?”
“When did I ever want to divorce you?”
Niko’s gaze looked at me as if he was looking at an unreasonable person.
“Are you still angry about what happened with Madeleine?”

His eyes sank, “I thought you understood, that day I didn’t intentionally not save you.”
I just stood there coldly, refusing to answer.
He suddenly sighed, gripping my shoulders and making me sit down on the couch. “Kayley, stop
being angry. Come back with me, and see things won’t happen again.”
Hasn’t it happened so many times before? He is only thinking about resolving it now, isn’t it a bit
late?
I pushed his hand away, “No need, just make sure you have the divorce agreement ready.”
Niko suddenly grabbed my chin and said, “Kayley, did you really have to get so angry with me?”
“I said I wasn’t throwing a tantrum!”
you really want to sleep alone in a place like this?”
“Do you
“What else?”
Niko suddenly bit my earlobe and said, “Be good, come home with me. You can’t sleep in a place
like this alone.”
I found it quite amusing. “Perhaps for a scion like you, this place is rather crude, but for me, it’s already good enough. It’s also very close to where I work…”
Niko sighed, “Do I have to spell it out for you? Kayley, without me, you couldn’t sleep alone.”
I widened my eyes, as if I had heard something horrifying, “I don’t have you, I can’t sleep?”
Ever since I woke up with amnesia, I have felt like Niko and I were a pair of estranged lovers.
I loved him, but he was annoyed with me. However, why does his current tone seem like we are a loving couple, just like a couple who loves to argue!
Niko wanted to say something else, but I immediately pulled him up and pushed him to the door. “Niko, I have already made up my mind to divorce you. I can’t go on like this for another day!”
After I kicked Niko out of the door, I started to arrange my own little home.
I have already understood the situation at the company, but it is a bit difficult for me to keep up, so I need to spend a lot of time.
In the evening, I wanted to order takeout and then scrolled through Instagram.
A photo posted by Madeleine caught my eye.

It was a photo of her with Niko, but very discreet, only showing a profile of Niko’s face.
However, his superior profile, even if it’s just half a shadow, can immediately be recognized.
Madeleine also made a somewhat ambiguous statement: “If we hadn’t missed each other, I hope there would be a good ending in the future… Only by loving each other can we overcome all
obstacles.”
I sneered.
Isn’t this implying that Niko and I were together without love, and sooner or later we would divorce, being with her?
I liked it, commented “99” below, and then directly deleted her.
