Chapter 20 

A few days later, Zachary embarked on a journey to Flodino alone. 

Trey was not reassured and went along as well. 

Throughout the journey, Zachary remained unusually calm. He sat by the window of the plane, his gaze fixed on the endless expanse of clouds outside, yet his eyes were empty. 

When Zachary arrived at Flodino, he took a boat straight to the place where Silvia’s sea burial was 

held. 

It was a vast expanse of sea, with no one around except for the occasional flying seabird. 

Zachary stood on the plank, his voice low, “What was the situation at that time?” 

Trey stood behind him, his voice tinged with a hint of hesitation, “Mr. Aldrich, do you really want to 

listen?” 

Zachary’s gaze fell on the surface of the sea, his voice calm, “Speak.” 

Trey took a deep breath and slowly began, “That day, the mortician cremated Ms. Winston’s body according to the ceremony and brought it here. The ashes were scattered in this sea area, and the urn sank underwater. The whole process… was quick and clean. We even heard rare whale songs. The mortician said that Ms. Winston’s soul was pure and would definitely ascend to heaven.”

Trey’s heart sank suddenly, and a sense of foreboding washed over him. He opened his mouth, but 

nothing came out. 

In the next two to three days, Zachary appeared unusually calm. He went to many places and saw many sceneries, as if he was really on a vacation. 

He stood at the foot of the snowy mountain, looking up at the majestic peak, but his eyes remained 

empty. 

He went to the temple, stood in front of the Buddha statue, and quietly watched the compassionate 

face, but he never knelt down. 

Trey followed behind him, gradually letting go of his worries.

Trey held his phone, standing in the hotel corridor, his gaze fixed on Zachary’s closed door, feeling anxious in his heart. He took a deep breath and finally gathered the courage to knock on the door. 

“Come in,” Zachary’s voice was calm and indifferent. 

Trey pushed open the door and saw Zachary sitting by the window, holding a cup of hot tea, his gaze fixed on the distant sea. His silhouette appeared particularly lonely in the morning light, as if out of sync with the world. 

“Mr. Aldrich,” Trey cautiously spoke up, “There is so much work piled up at the company… Do you think we should go back?” 

Zachary did not turn back, his voice calm enough to make one’s heart race, “I will go back 

tomorrow.” 

Trey was taken aback for a moment, not expecting Zachary to agree so readily. His inner unease eased slightly, and he quickly nodded, “Alright, I’ll go make the arrangements right away. 

In the evening, Zachary walked out of the hotel alone. Trey wanted to follow, but was gently refused by Zachary, “I want to take a walk alone.” 

Trey stood at the hotel entrance, watching Zachary’s figure gradually disappear into the sunset, and that feeling of unease surged up in his heart again. He shook his head, trying to convince himself. Zachary had already agreed to go back, so there shouldn’t be any more trouble.
