The Man Who Never Looked Away novel Chapter 332

Lucian followed behind Charley. As he reached the door, he paused and glanced back at the thoroughly restrained Garnett.

"I told you before, you don't have the right to speak directly to The Principal," Lucian said smoothly.

He pulled out his phone and tapped the screen a few times. Garnett's phone chimed with an incoming location pin.

"Go pick up your mistress from there."

"She's not!" Garnett roared.

Lucian pocketed his phone and casually told the guards, "Let him go once we're far enough away."

He turned and hurried after Charley.

A stretch Lincoln was already idling out front.

Charley set Lavinia down gently in the back seat before climbing in from the other side.

The moment the door shut, she heard a hoarse, furious bellow echo from the house behind them.

The car glided smoothly along the winding mountain road. The burly driver in the dark suit and sunglasses remained deadpan, eyes fixed on the road.

Lucian sat in the passenger seat, equally silent.

The rear of the stretch limo was incredibly spacious, featuring two facing sofa seats by the windows. Lavinia and Charley sat on opposite sides. She awkwardly averted her gaze.

A privacy partition slowly hummed upward, separating the front from the back.

Now, it was just Lavinia and Charley in this enclosed space.

She stiffened, shrinking back slightly into her corner.

Charley didn't miss the subtle movement. A flicker of emotion passed through his eyes, rippling through the heavy silence.

He watched her without moving a muscle.

She remained still, refusing to look at him.

After a long time, he slowly stood up, moved to sit beside her, and gently tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Are you scared?" he asked softly.
