The strength of the crimson dragons was just as great as that of the golden dragons, but it was obvious which ones were stronger. And even with the hierarchy in place, complete control over crimson dragons remained difficult to achieve.

Ophelia felt, at that moment, that his declaration was supported by his own willpower.

“Nikolai Novikov is my husband. Do you intend to protect me from him?” Ophelia had to ask, just to make sure.

Glancing at the red dragon, Esmeralda narrowed her eyes. She detested him for unknown reasons aside from his present objective.

Dominik closed his eyes and took a long breath. He was not fond of this. He was forced to take drastic steps. Suddenly he was engulfed in raging flames and reverted back to his dragon form.

Esmeralda took hold of Ophelia’s arm and moved back toward the mouth of the cave. “Beat him into a pulp.”

Ophelia’s scornful gaze widened at the dragon. “He won’t be an easy opponent.”

Esmeralda let go of her arm and took hold of her bow. However, just as she shot him, a dragon suddenly crashed into Dominik, forcing him aside.

Unfortunately, the dragon attempted, but was unable, to avoid the blow. As the arrow penetrated the skin, the dragon burst into flaming dust and a shower of blood was released.

Esmeralda was unprepared, “W…what?”

“We have to leave. Ophelia took hold of her arm and jumped off the edge. She unfurled her wings and soared back down to the mountain’s level

terrain.

The sky was growing dangerously dark and it became harder to see as the wind picked up even more strength.

“It won’t be safe to fly into the sky.” Ophelia tightened her fist and muttered.

“It looks dangerous indeed.” Maintaining her grip on her weapons, Esmeralda followed her gaze. Now that she was aware of Ophelia’s strength, she began to feel terribly self–conscious of it. “Why don’t you transform into your dragon form?”

That question made Ophelia tense up. “I…“,

This astonished Esmeralda, who gave her a wide–eyed stare. Ophelia looked really uneasy. Was that a question best left unasked? Frankly, seeing Ophelia in her dragon form was quite uncommon. No… Esmeralda had actually never witnessed Ophelia transform into her dragon form.

“I can’t.” Ophelia’s gaze veered from the sky, abruptly locking eyes with the fiery–red eyes of Dominik, who was speeding toward them.

She swiftly activated a fire barrier as the red dragon lunged his fire towards them, not holding back.

She wasn’t prepared for the fire’s strength, but luckily she was strong. She had a strong suspicion that the Firerian dragons were all losing sight of that. Esteban was truly a coward to think so little of her.

Unexpectedly, Ophelia heard a heavy impact behind her and looked to find three dragons growling at them.

Gritting her teeth, she transformed the fire barrier into a powerful force that let forth a tremendous explosion which rocked the earth and sent

Dominik and the other dragons hurtling skyward.

Notwithstanding, it was enough of an impact to blow Esmeralda away from her. “Lia!” The dark fairy let out a scream as she shot wildly through the air.

Ophelia’s eyes widened. “Esme!” And she flew to the sky, seizing her arm.

As soon as she did, Dominik and the dragons, who were now flying steadily, launched an attack that she detected with her senses.

“Fuck!” With a hiss of frustration, Ophelia propelled Esmeralda into the sky with all of her might, causing her to disappear into the clouds.

The dark fairy quickly erupted her wings to balance herself. “What the hell?!” She put her palm on her chest and let out a heavy breath relief.

The dragons, meanwhile, had surrounded Ophelia. Her eyes were burning with rage, and she had a deep frown on her face. “This is taking longer than I expected.”

All of the dragons, aside from Dominik,/roared loudly and shifted into their hybrid forms.

“Princess Ophelia Viadislav, surrender now and we will take you back to Fireria in one piece.” One of them issued a warning, but all it accomplished was enrage Ophelia even more.

Her body was consumed by golden fire that flared fiercely and menacingly enough to frighten the dragons.

“You should think more about yourselves.” Ophelia growled, and when her dagger materialized in her hands, it turned into a blade that was likewise consumed by her golden fire.

It was becoming less of a blizzard and more of her presence, so severe and overpowering that it was diminishing the mountain’s bitter cold.

When they sensed this, the dragons all felt uneasy and moved out of the
