Cole-lets out a growl that shakes the room and Zeus is taking control.

Dom and Elí jump into action.

“Alpha you can’t shift in here, it isn’t safe for your pups” Dom says to Zeus.

“I will kill anybody who tries to take my pups” Zues roars, voice slightly deeper than Cole’s, raw, violent, shaking with possessive

rage.

I step into his arms. “they are safe and we will protect them my love” I say, even though my own voice trembles just slightly.

“Come back to me” I say as his fur starts to recede and his beautiful blue eyes are looking back at me, still storming, still not fully

calm.

“we will protect them at all costs” I say.

“they will not succeed” I say, more to myself than anyone else.

“grab the book Iris is holding” Nova says in my mind.

“Iris can I see that book” I ask, holding my hand out.

When she hands it to me, the moment my fingers touch the cover, my vision tilts-like the world just shifted slightly out of place, the entire prophecy plays in my mind like a song.

I can’t even stop myself as it comes out-

Born into suffering, shaped by loss.

Her pain shall awaken what was buried,

And the blood that once ruled through fear shall be judged.

At her side stands the heir spared by the Moon,

And together they shall face the war of corrupted blood.

From her womb shall come not one, but three-

Born of war, bound by fate, marked by the Moon.

The first shall carry the blood of all that came before,

A power long buried, now reborn.

The second shall be the balance,

The tether between light and ruin,

The one who keeps the bloodline from destroying itself.

The third shall be the reckoning,

A force untouched by mercy,

The fall of all who stand against them.

Before their first breath, the world will tremble.

Before their rise, the kingdom will fracture.

For those who seek to control them will be destroyed,

And those who betray the crown will not survive what comes.

The last line echoes louder than the rest, sticking-like a warning meant only for me.

“Okay you really need to stop doing that” Winter says.

“I’m not doing it on purpose” I say, rolling my eyes, even though my fingers are still tingling from the vision.

“yeah but still it’s creepy, like who are you when you do that?” she asks.

I tilt my head looking at her. “I’m me, well and Nova, that time in the car that was Selene” I say.

“okay so your first born is basically a god and David wants him” Caleb says.

“No the dark witches want him, they feel they were cheated when the faction locked the magic away after Castiel’s death” I say.

“So what does that mean for the war?” James asks.

I shrug, but it feels hollow, like the answer is bigger than I’m ready to say out loud.

“I’m not sure at this moment, but I do know we need to find the runes and figure out how to unlock that magic ourselves, because if David or the witches get it, the entire supernatural world will be in danger” I say.

“we need to keep you and our pups safe first. Now that we are halfway through you have to slow down” Cole says.

I glare at him. “we are literally at war, there is no slowing down Cole” I say, my frustration sharper than I mean it to be, but I don’t

take it back.

I stand to leave because I feel myself getting upset.

“Where are you going?” he asks.

“to our room to rest because now I’m tired carrying three royal alpha pups” I say.
