Chapter 117

“we need to get to the hospital now” Cole says scooping me up off the floor.

My stomach tras now doubled in size and I look to now be more than halfway through my pregnancy.

When we get to the hospital the doctor is surprised to see us and my big belly.

“Luna what happened?” Doctor Stewart says.

“it seems our enemies need me to be further along in my pregnancy” I say

Even saying it out loud makes it feel worse. More real. More dangerous.

“we just want to make sure the pups are okay considering they were just magically grown in minutes, I didn’t sense anything when I felt for them but we want to be sure” I say

“I understand Alpha and Luna follow me to a room” she says

I lay down on the table and pull my gown down.

She squirts the gel on my stomach.

The cool gel doing nothing to calm my nerves.

If anything, it makes everything feel sharper. Too real. Too exposed.

“our pups are fine, they are strong but we need to know why they sped it up” Nova says.

She runs the wand over my stomach and the first heartbeat sounds out in the room.

“okay there goes baby A strong heartbeat, then baby B” she says

The tears fall before I can stop them.

“okay and here is baby C” she says and this one sounds the strongest and the fastest.

The sound hits something deep in my chest-relief tangled with fear.

“would you like to know the genders?” she asks

“yes” we both say immediately

“okay baby A is a boy”

then she moves the wand and moves my stomach a bit

“baby B is a girl” she says

moving the wand across my stomach once more

“Baby C is a boy” she says

“congratulations alpha, luna. Two boys and a girl” she says handing us a roll of pictures.

Cole holds them in his hand and runs his fingers over each picture.

His touch is softer than I’ve ever felt it-careful, almost reverent.

“well Luna it seems now you are in human time 28 weeks pregnant and since you are pregnant with triplets you can give birth anytime in the coming weeks” she says

“I know you weren’t expecting it to be this soon but I suggest putting a rush on the nursery and any plans because they are coming sooner than any of us expected now” she says

“thank you Emma” Cole says

“Anytime alpha” she says walking out the room.

“two boys and a girl” he says softly.

“why would David want to speed up your pregnancy?” he ask looking up from the sonograms

“we need to go to the archives, have everyone meet us there” I say wiping my stomach and pulling my gown back up.

We step out of the hospital and head straight for the palace.

“someone is watching us” Nova says

My shoulders tense slightly, my gaze shifting without moving my head.

I carefully look around and I spot Serena hiding behind the fountain looking angry before turning and walking off quickly.

Serena POV

That lying witch.

I got a servant to give her the potion to kill her babies.

I heard her scream and watched Cole rush her to the pack hospital.

Chapter 117

I waited because I needed to see for myself.

Needed to know it worked. Needed to see her break.

I hid behind the fountain and waited and then she walked out more pregnant than when she walked in.

What the fuck did the witch give me.

She catches me looking at her and I rush off to confront the witch.

When I get to her shop I bust through the door.

“what the hell did you give me?” I snarl.

“it worked” she says smiling

“you said that potion would kill her pups not speed up her pregnancy” I growl at her

“oh hush pup this is good because now you get Cole” she says.

Now she has my attention.

My anger pauses-not gone, just redirected. Focused.

“what do you mean?” I ask

“David has a plan to take the Queen, and we need you to distract him while we get her out of the royal pack” she says

“how are you going to do that?” I ask

“that does not concern you, all you have to do is distract Cole three days from today” she says

She rummages through a draw and hands me a vial with a shimmering pink powder.

“in 3 days blow this is the kings face and he will think you are his mate for 24 hours” she says

“he will also attack anyone who tries to keep you away from him, this is the only vial you have so use it wisely” she says

The vial feels warm in my hand. Powerful. Dangerous. Mine.

“why can’t I know the plan?” I snarl.

“you have been lying to me from the beginning” I shout.

“yes because you are going to ruin everything with your impulsive behavior” she snaps.

Chapter 117

“now go do as you are told and stay invisible until it is time for us execute the plan” she says.

“how will I know?” I ask.

“I will send you a message” she says

“now go, now that I know the potion worked I have work to do.”

I walk out of her shop and I’m so excited to almost have him.

My heart is racing now-not from anger, but anticipation. Obsession tightening in my chest.

I won’t be Queen but neither will she.

David will kill her and her pups and I will have Cole and David will be the king.

Everything is going exactly as planned.
