Ch 212
Mischa
She took a call from Declan later that afternoon, and she smiled to herself. He’d called direct to her Luna’s desk, where she was actually sitting. “Hey you,” he practically purred down the line at her, and she heard a little gravel in his voice which told her Wild was right there talking to her as well.
“Hi, what can I do for you?” she asked.
“Send Lucinda and Nick, their units, a formal invitation to this full moon here in the pack. I think they’d all love to come and see us Claim each other,” he told her. “I also have a feeling they’ll want to congratulate you and I, on our little bundle of joy.”
She nodded. “I can do that. Is there anyone else you want to invite?” she asked.
“No,” he answered simply, “It’ll just Nick and Lucinda, their units because, well, they brought us together, I guess you could say.”
“Alright,” she answered.
“You’re first official Luna invitation for another pack to come from our pack; I’d like you to sign it off as Luna Misha the Whispering Moon. Officially using your actual title for the first time, and that communication being to the Rising Blue Lotus. I think that is very fitting.”
She smiled at herself. It was actually fitting, “I can certainly do that,” she stated, and they ended the call a few minutes later when he had to go attend a meeting.
She had Kitty show her where not only the mating ball invites were on the computer system but all types of invitations so she could decide on the right one to send. It wasn’t technically a mating ball, it was just an invitation to have Nick, Lucinda and both their units bear witness to them officially scenting each other out, not that they knew that.
There were several simple designs for pack invitations that were for many events, and she picked a pretty blue invitation that she could write words on herself. It had ice feathers all around the edges and a full moon in the center of it. She liked that it represented the coldness of the season, and she could see there were many here that did that; represented the seasons of the year.
She added a simple message; ‘Luna Lucinda, Alpha Nicholas, you are invited to attend the Whispering Moon with your units, on November 25th, Luna Misha, the Whispering Moon Pack. Short and simple and nothing to be given away either. She smiled as she typed in the e-mail address for Lucinda and hit the send button.

She was still at her desk not even 10 minutes later when she received the response, a confirmation that she and Nick would love to attend, would arrive the day before and leave the day after as per mating ball rules, even though it wasn’t a mating ball.
Misha smiled and flicked a text to Declan to tell him they’d accepted.
She looked up at Declan when he arrived home from the city, and he walked into the foyer and smiled at her, as did his unit to their Mates, who were all sitting with her. “I e-mailed the one bonded to you today.” He stated and held out a piece of paper to her “this is what it read. I hope you don’t think I’m overstepping, but seeing as you and I are going to be Mates, i decided it was time to push the agenda.”
Mischa raised an eyebrow at him, but took it and read it. It wasn’t so much a request as a demand, and she looked up to him and nodded. “It’s fine, it has to happen anyway. I did hear my old phone ring in your office at one point today. I’m guessing this is why.” She stood up and headed for his office. “I didn’t bother to check it. Might as well do that now,” she told him.
She walked into his office and he followed, “Nick called today as well. He was looking for pup news. I spilled it, too happy about that to hold it in,” Declan stated, and she could hear the
smile in his voice.
She heard the door close behind him as he walked into his office and then his arms were snaked around her and his lips were pressed to the side of her neck in a soft kiss. She smiled as she walked and he walked with her.
“Clingy much?” she asked.
“Hmm, it appears I’m going to be.” He chuckled softly. “It’s not just me, so you know, I had trouble getting Wild to leave the pack to go into the head office today. He’s of the opinion we should not leave your side.”
She let him walk how he liked, because she thought it was kind of cute. She’d never had anyone walked with her like that in all her life. “How’d Nick respond?” she asked as she leaned across his desk and picked up her phone.
“He was happy, asked if I wanted a boy or girl?” Declan answered her and finally let go of her to sit in his chair at the desk, then he reached out and tugged her around and down on to his lap. As she accessed the phone’s call log, there was no voice message to go with the unanswered call.
“That was about 20 minutes after I sent the e-mail,” Declan told her, and he reached out and touched the awaiting message on the screen, and it lit up that there were messages from Anthony. The first was a screenshot of the e-mail Declan had sent him and under it was a message ‘I don’t think he’s honest with you, is doing things behind your back.”

he? And doesn’t keep you in the loop on important matters. I admit I should have asked you first, but we’d already talked privately, and you had myself and my unit be witnesses to your
last conversation.”
“I don’t mind,” Misha stated and leaned back into him, “It’s over between he and I, and Laud and I have got a new Mate, one that knows exactly what he wants. Anthony, however, is not going to accept any response to this, bar a phone call.” She thought about it for a moment as she looked at it. “Three things come to mind from this for me,
“1. he doesn’t think I know you sent this, that’s a given from his wording, and he thinks you’re going to keep it from me, and he’s trying to sow discord between us, to see me want to leave you for being deceitful.”
“Ah, trying to put me in the same filthy light he’s in is he.” Declan murmured.
“Hmm, it’s entirely possible,” Misha nodded. “I wouldn’t put it past him, he only thinks about himself nowadays. Maybe he always did, and I just never saw it, not really. Because I was his Mate and one doesn’t think things like that about their Mate until they are truly forced to see
it.”
“20 years of just you and him, it’s entirely possible.” Declan nodded.
“2. he thinks you have the phone and I won’t get this message and is testing that, by seeing if I respond to it or not. 3. he wants to see how I actually respond, because that will be kind of telling for him. A text message will make him think you’ve got the phone and are answering it, I dare say as well. This is his way of trying to force my hand into actually calling him in person.”
“You may respond to it any way you like, text call or video call, if you like.” He chuckled. “I think a video call would be good, but I’d want to get all handsy and well, him not feeling it would show him I’m your Mate.”
“Don’t do that, but this message from him is good. You’re right it is time to end it all. A part of me wants him to come here and witness you and I scenting each other out, but… that’s just because I had to do that with him. See him get up and walk away from me, without even considering my feelings on the matter of him getting a new Mate. And I want to return the favor, so to speak.
“But having him come here after the full moon works just as well. I’ll already bear your filigree, and he’ll not be able to ask me to go home with him, two Mates to two different packs. I get to choose who I stay with, and the choice will be obvious from where I am, that I let you Mark and Mate me.

“That realization is going to hit him where it hurts and that, for me, is as good as him watching me lay claim to you.”
“Hmm, if you want to hurt him I can film it and send it to him,” Declan murmured.

“No, he knows you can’t Mark one that’s already mated without killing their Mate, so there is no way I can be marked a second time unless they are gifted to me by Selena herself.” She hit the record button on the message.
“Anthony, I am aware of this e-mail. Declan doesn’t do things purely for selfish reasons. We’ve already discussed it, my wishes were expressed perfectly by Declan. I want to end the bond with you. You ignored me, abandoned me, didn’t even know I’d left you. So, please confirm with Declan when you’ll be ar
