The Divorce That Brought Us Back novel Chapter 337

Cassidy's due date wasn't until the end of May.

This weekend was the long Memorial Day holiday, and Nora had originally planned to return to the capital to rest for three days.

She hadn't expected Cassidy to go into premature labor.

Fortunately, the baby arrived just a month early at thirty-four weeks. It was a late-preterm birth, so the situation wasn't critical.

Returning to the capital.

Nora headed straight to the hospital the moment she stepped off the plane.

The maternity ward was packed.

Members of the Quinn and Quincy families crammed into the space, leaving absolutely no room to squeeze through.

Standing at the door, Nora peered inside and faintly caught the sound of them arguing about corporate shares.

The baby had just been born the evening before, and by noon today, they were already eagerly fighting over her inheritance.

Nora felt a wave of complicated emotions.

She never wanted to experience a scene like this.

Fortunately, both she and Maloney had already separated their finances from their respective families. Their assets belonged entirely to them, and they could leave them to whoever they pleased.

It was nothing like the Quinn and Quincy families, where the grandparents refused to relinquish control, the parents each held their own stakes, the grandchildren hadn't even received much yet, and now the great-grandchildren were joining the battlefield.

"Nora."

Maloney wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her away from the crowd. "Do you want to go see the baby first?"

Nora's eyes instantly lit up. "Where is she?"

Maloney replied, "In the incubator in the observation room next door."

"Let's go!" Nora hugged his arm tightly.

Absence truly made the heart grow fonder.

They hadn't been intimate in nearly a month.

They had only been reunited for an hour, and instead of heading straight for the bedroom, they had to come to the hospital for serious business. Maloney was just as reluctant to let her go.

They walked down the hall, practically glued to each other.

The observation room was bustling with doctors, nurses, nannies, bodyguards, and Parker Quincy, who was seated right next to the incubator.
