Since Maloney's villa was on the west side of the city, Cassidy naturally decided: "I'm buying on the East Riverfront."

Nora: "Isn't that area a bit inconvenient?"

Cassidy: "The location doesn't matter. The main goal is to be as far away from your husband as possible."

Nora: "Huh?"

After a lot of back-and-forth, Nora finally convinced Cassidy to let her handle the house hunting.

She contacted a real estate agent for listings. Right as she was busy typing, Maloney sat down next to her and slipped an arm around her waist.

"What are you doing?"

"Looking at houses."

Maloney paused, his gaze dropping to glance at Nora's phone screen, just in time to catch the name of the residential complex sent by the agent.

It was a prime location right in the center of Southampton.

He asked, "Why are you looking at houses?"

"To give to Cassidy."

"Why the sudden urge to buy her a house?"

"She's too busy, balancing her career and her family. She wants to be able to come here occasionally to relax with me."

Since moving to Southampton, the only thing Nora truly missed about the capital was her friends.

Though Jasmine Smith was traveling the world and hadn't been seen in over half a year, and Cassidy was so consumed by work that meeting up was nearly impossible.

But Nora had grown up in the capital, and she couldn't easily shake off the concept of "home."

Truth be told, they weren't permanently settling in Southampton. They only stayed in the south for spring and autumn, returning north for summer and winter. Once Maloney finished his current project, they would head back.

Still, Nora was quite happy that Cassidy wanted to visit Southampton.

Next time, she would invite Jasmine too.

Rather than saying Nora was buying a house for Cassidy, it was more accurate to say she was building a permanent headquarters for their sisterhood in Southampton.

In the future, if anyone wanted to stay in another city, they could just buy another property.
