The Divorce That Brought Us Back novel Chapter 332

Seraphina ground her teeth, a muscle ticking violently in her jaw. She forced a stiff, terrifying smile. "Those destined for greatness cannot be dragged down by weak sympathies. Use whatever weapons you have, and sever whatever ties hold you back!"

Her words were dangerously persuasive.

But Nora could never fully align with Seraphina's brutal ideology.

It felt like this world was just an endless cycle of broken people exploiting other broken people.

"I will negotiate on your behalf. But the final decision is his."

Seraphina stared at Nora for a long time before replying coolly, "Fine."

Surprisingly, she accepted the terms without a fight.

Nora couldn't shake the feeling she was still being played.

Seraphina added, "Or, you can just act as the mediator and secure a sit-down for me to speak with him myself. That works too."

Nora gave her a sharp look. "He's refusing to meet with you?"

"That's none of your business," Seraphina snapped.

That was a resounding yes.

Nora nodded slowly. "Understood."

Having achieved her goal, Seraphina didn't linger.

Once she was gone, Nora turned to Cassidy. "What exactly did she promise you?"

"She's sponsoring my membership into the Women Entrepreneurs Association."

"That's it?"

"Don't underestimate the power of a title." Cassidy let out a heavy sigh. "Once I'm in, just showing up to their networking galas twice a year will grant me access to incredible resources."

"The younger you are when you get in, the more leverage you build."

"Technically, I don't meet the requirements. I haven't run a massive corporation for two consecutive years."

"Neither has Seraphina, but she has the connections to bypass the rules, and she promised to drag me up the ladder with her."

"I'll be honest, she is ruthlessly practical. She will drain every ounce of value from the people around her and doesn't give a damn if they hate her for it."

"At first, I felt too proud to use a backdoor entry. But then I realized, the moment I have this baby, I'm going to be in a vulnerable position. I need that prestigious title to solidify my standing."

Cassidy laid all her cards on the table, completely transparent about her motives.
