Cassidy let out a heavy sigh. "Ugh—"

Nora chuckled. "Everything is fine now. What are you sighing about?"

"I'm done talking big. Last time I swore I was going to destroy Parker, and I ended up doing absolutely nothing."

Cassidy took a deep breath. "I'm laying it all out today. My top five goals for this year: One, successfully launch this partnership with Silas. Two, break into the international market. Three, deliver this baby safely. Four, divorce Parker. Five, solidify my power at Quincy Corp."

"You two are responsible for keeping me accountable. Actually, no, let's keep each other accountable. Tell me your goals for the year."

Jasmine thought about it for a moment. "Mine are simpler than yours. Keep up engagement on my main accounts, grow my new channels. I actually have some extra cash now, so I'm thinking about getting into investing."

"Also, I kind of want to take over my parents' old company and turn it into a high-end lifestyle brand. But Felix said their company is a sinking ship, and I'd be better off just using their old contacts to start a completely new brand from scratch."

"Um... that's pretty much it. I'm still figuring it out."

Cassidy gave Jasmine a thumbs-up. "I respect it. You sound a little unsure, but you'll never know if you can succeed until you actually try. Just go for it, don't hold back."

Cassidy and Jasmine then turned their eyes to Nora.

Nora blinked. "I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing."

"What does that even mean?" Cassidy demanded.

"I don't know."

Cassidy stared at her. "..."

She was confused. "Where are your goals? Didn't you say you wanted to expand your storefront this year? And open a new VIP club?"

"Yeah." Nora paused, then explained, "I just got back from vacation. I'm not really in a working mindset yet."

"Fair enough." Surprisingly, Cassidy accepted her excuse. "It's good for you to take a break for a while."

She added, "You've never really stopped to just rest, have you?"

Nora hesitated, then nodded. "I guess not."

Perhaps it was because she had the support of her closest friends, but the invisible tension coiled tight in Nora's chest suddenly eased.

Even if she wasn't entirely sure why she had been so tense in the first place.

By early evening, Nora made it back home just before dinner.
