'There's a very high chance Seraphina could drag Sebastian Sinclair down.'
'She holds the nine percent of shares that Alistair Sinclair left her. Even though it's less than what the family gave Sebastian, rumor has it she's got some serious leverage against him. She even brought in some of Alistair's old military buddies to act as witnesses. She's planning a public trial against Sebastian at the shareholders' meeting.'
'I haven't found out exactly what that leverage is yet. Ms. Sinclair is keeping it well hidden. I'll let you know the second the meeting ends tomorrow morning.'
Maloney couldn't care less whether the Sinclair Group held a shareholders' meeting or not.
This wasn't the answer he was looking for.
'Is there anything else?'
'That news wasn't explosive enough for you?'
Reluctant to let go of Nora, Maloney typed with one hand, too lazy to engage in idle banter with Lee.
After waiting for about ten minutes, Mr. Hudson's message finally came through.
Mr. Hudson also mentioned the Sinclair Group's shareholders' meeting scheduled for the next morning.
But he also brought up a fight that had ended at the police station.
'Not long ago, Seraphina turned against her own blood and had two of her uncles thrown in jail, while simultaneously kicking six of her male cousins out of the company.'
'Seraphina has been acting brazenly and recklessly. Her actions triggered a massive backlash from the family, but she refused to negotiate and continued to act on her own.'
'The Sinclair relatives directed their anger at Seraphina's parents and brother. They blockaded the Sinclair estate, forcing Sebastian to step in.'
'Yesterday, Sebastian was admitted to the hospital with acute stomach bleeding. Today, Seraphina went to visit him, and a conflict broke out in the hospital room with the relatives.'
'The exact cause of the fight is unknown. Seraphina brought quite a few people with her. They injured the relatives and caused property damage to the hospital. Ultimately, the police were called to mediate, but no one was detained.'
Maloney stared at the screen for a long time.
Not a single piece of useful information.
Who cared about the Sinclair family brawling?
Maloney locked his phone screen. In the darkness, he stared at the back of Nora's head, deep in thought. It suddenly dawned on him that besides Seraphina, Nora had also met with Cassidy Quinn today.
