The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 59

Pierce hadn't stepped foot in the house for three days since their blowout fight.

On Sunday, they were expected at the family estate for dinner. Riley carried her daughter out the front door, planning to have Mr. Carter drive her, only to find Pierce waiting outside.

He was wearing a crisp white shirt, the sleeves casually rolled up to reveal his sculpted forearms. One hand was tucked in his pocket, while the other held a cigarette loosely to his lips.

Wreathed in smoke and bathed in the golden hour light, his sharp features looked overwhelmingly handsome.

Riley took one look, immediately averted her gaze, and turned to the driver. "Go get the car."

Mr. Carter just watched Pierce crush his cigarette and approach them, firmly planted in his spot.

Pierce stepped up, taking the diaper bag straight from the driver's hands. "You're dismissed."

Mr. Carter nodded and scurried back into the house.

Riley glowered at her husband.

Pierce met her eyes for a moment before shifting his gaze to the baby. He stepped closer with a warm smile. "Alora, did you miss Daddy?" He reached out to stroke her cheek.

Riley immediately stepped back, shielding the baby. "You reek of smoke."

Pierce's hand froze in midair. He slowly lowered it, his eyes locking onto Riley. "You're still pouting?"

What an incredible question.

He had infuriated her, walked out, and then vanished for three days without a single text or call, punishing her with complete silence.

Now he was back, acting as though nothing had happened, offering zero apologies and avoiding the topic of Seraphina altogether.

Did he honestly expect her to just swallow her anger and act like the perfect wife?

Riley turned her head away in disgust.

Pierce slid an arm around her waist, his tone dripping with practiced affection. "Can we stop fighting now?"
