The Coldest Man in the Room Melted Only for Me novel Chapter 105

She waited until noon, but there was still no sign of him. Anxious about her daughter, she had no choice but to head back.

He could run, but he couldn't hide forever.

He couldn't avoid her indefinitely.

That afternoon, Riley received a call from Beatrice. "Sebastian is leaving tonight. You and Pierce need to come back to the estate and have dinner with him."

If Sebastian was at the dinner, Pierce wouldn't dare skip it.

Riley felt like the universe was finally doing her a favor. "I'll be there on time, but Pierce isn't answering my calls right now. You'll have to contact him yourself."

"Why isn't he answering your calls?" Beatrice demanded.

"Because I'm going to—" The word 'divorce' was on the tip of her tongue, but Riley swallowed it back when she remembered Sebastian was still in Riverport.

She couldn't let him know about the divorce just yet. If a heavyweight like him interfered, getting the divorce would become incredibly difficult.

"What are you going to do with him?" Beatrice pressed.

"I'm going to have a fight with him."

Beatrice clearly hadn't expected that answer. She paused for a couple of seconds before her shrill voice echoed through the speaker. "Don't tell me you're still throwing a fit over Lory getting sick? How can you be so narrow-minded? Is a trivial matter like that really worth staying mad over for this long?"

A trivial matter?

An incarcerated hernia could be life-threatening if left untreated, and Beatrice actually thought it was a trivial matter?

Whatever. Beatrice had never viewed Lory as her real granddaughter anyway, so why bother arguing with her?
