The CEO’s Unspoken Love (Eleanor and Derek) novel Chapter 230

Chapter 230

Eleanor POV

The confined space of the tent forced us to adapt, every movement deliberate, intimate in its necessity.

Derek shifted, rolling us so I was beneath film; his weight a comforting press as he braced himself on his elbows, his gaze never leaving mine. His lips trailed down my jaw, my neck, lingering at the hollow of my throat where my pulse raced beneath his touch. tilted my head back, giving him access, my fingers digging into his shoulders as a soft sound escaped me-half sigh, half plea.

Outside, a branch snapped somewhere in the distance, a sharp reminder of the wilderness surrounding us, but it only deepened the sense of isolation, of being utterly alone with him in this fragile shelter.

He moved with a slow, deliberate care at first, each touch a question, each response from me an answer. But as the heat between us built, so did the urgency. His hands guided me, shifting us again so I straddled his hips, the change in position drawing a sharp breath from him as I settled against him. The sleeping bag bunched beneath us, the fabric rough against my knees, but I barely noticed.

All I could feel was Derek-his hands on my hips, steadying me, his eyes dark with a mix of awe and desire as he looked up at me, as

if I were something he couldn’t quite believe was his. The tent trembled slightly as a gust of wind passed through, the fabric rippling like a living thing, casting faint, shifting shadows over his features, making this moment feel even more surreal, more precious.

“You’re everything,” he murmured, his voice low, almost broken, as his thumbs traced patterns against my skin. I leaned down to kiss him, my hair falling around us like a curtain, blocking out the faint starlight, creating a world of just us. The angle deepened our connection, drawing a low groan from him that vibrated through me, stoking the fire already burning in my veins.

I shifted, my hands pressing against his chest as I moved lower, my lips brushing over the scars I’d traced earlier, tasting the salt of his skin.

The scent of him-clean sweat mixed with the earthy tang of the outdoors-filled my senses, grounding me even as my heart raced.

I glanced up at him, catching the way his breath hitched, the way his hands clenched briefly at his sides before relaxing, giving me control.

My touch was tentative at first, exploring, but grew bolder as I moved down, my lips and tongue tracing a path that made his muscles tense beneath me.

A soft, shuddering sound escaped him, raw and unguarded, and it sent a thrill through me, a quiet power in knowing I could unravel him as completely as he did me. The tent seemed to shrink further around us, the air growing thicker, warmer, as if the very space was holding its breath with us.
