The CEO's Regret: His Lost Wife's Secret Twins novel Chapter 269

Chapter 269

EMMA

4

I walked through LG company with my box of expensive macarons. The employees smiled when they saw me. So easy to manipulate these

idiots. A few sweets and fake compliments, and they’re eating out of my hand.

“Miss Grant, these are amazing!” Janet from accounting said, stuffing another macaron in her mouth. “You’re so thoughtful.”

“Please, call me Emma,” I said, touching her arm. “We’re all family here.”

I’ve been hitting both Grant company and LG Group daily, bringing gifts and pretending to care about their pathetic lives. The LG

employees love me. They don’t know about my reputation in America.

“Miss Grant truly cares about employees, Mark from marketing announced. “She focuses on people, not just profits.”

I smiled while everyone nodded. Complete morons.

“I’m doing what I can,” I sighed. “Though it’s hard when Aria spends all her time in Europe. She can’t focus on American operations.”

The employees exchanged glances.

“And Richard’s getting older. His energy isn’t what it used to be.”

I widened my eyes. “I’m just grateful I can be here for you full-time.”

The whispers started immediately.

“Aria never visits us.”

“She’s too busy with European projects.”

“So arrogant. Acts like she’s above us.”

My plan was working. They’d turn against Aria completely.

“Miss Grant is so thoughtful, someone said. “She actually cares about building relationships with us, unlike some people who just show

up for business meetings.”

Then a cold voice cut through the room.

“Grant, you seem very enthusiastic. What a lively atmosphere.”

Chapter 269

I noticed Lily trying to escape. “Where are you going?”

I have work to finish…” she whispered.

I grabbed her arm, pulling her into a corner. “Seeing her act so successful… doesn’t it make you angry? After what she did?”

Lily trembled. “But Blake

protects her now.”

I smiled coldly. “Lily, if I say you can bring her down, then you can.”

Lily hesitated, then nodded. “What do you need me to do?”

I laughed. Finally, things were falling into place.

ARIA

Ever since we got kicked out of Grant estate, I’d been trying to save my parents – sneak them out when Emma wasn’t watching. But that plan was dead now.

I stared at my bodyguards in shock. Black eyes, split lips, bandaged arms – they were beaten to hell. Emma had hired ex-military mercenaries who destroyed my men without mercy.

The rescue failed. The Grant estate was locked down tight, and my birth parents were still Emma’s puppets, completely brainwashed

against me.
