Chapter 239
“Aurora believes Mommy,” she said, wiping her tears away. “Aurora believes in Will too.” She wrapped her arms around my neck. “I’ll stay with Mommy while we wait for brother.”
I hugged my daughter tight, kissing the top of her head. Blake gently stroked Aurora’s hair, pulling both of us into his embrace.
We waited silently for thirty minutes, the air heavy with tension. Finally, Dr. Hall emerged from the treatment room, his expression
serious.
Aurora immediately ran to him, standing on tiptoes. “Doctor, is my brother okay?”
Dr. Hall smiled kindly. “Your brother is stable now. He’s sleeping because he lost some blood and had a high fever.”
Aurora’s eyes filled with tears again. “Can I see him? Please?”
Ethan stepped forward. “I’ll go with Aurora. We won’t bother Will while he’s resting.” He sounded surprisingly grown-up.
Dr. Hall nodded. “Having friends around might actually help William recover. You can go see him, but first we need to get you both into
protective clothing.”
Aurora excitedly pulled Ethan toward the sterilization room, tear tracks still visible on her cheeks.
As the children disappeared down the hall, I turned to Dr. Hall. “Tell us the truth now. How is William really doing?”
Dr. Hall’s face changed, becoming professional and grim. “William’s condition has progressed faster than we expected. His blood work shows significant deterioration. His immune system is severely compromised.”
‘What exactly does that mean?” Blake demanded, his voice tight.
“It means we need to find a matching bone marrow donor soon. Very soon.” Dr. Hall hesitated. ‘William doesn’t have much time left
without a transplant.”
The words hit me hard. The hallway seemed to freeze, everyone standing in shocked silence.
Olivia broke first. “There must be something else we can try! Experimental treatments? New medications?”
Dr. Hall shook his head. “Redwood Medical Center has tried everything available. We’re doctors, not gods.”
I felt strangely calm as I processed this information. My mind raced through possibilities.
Then it came to me. There was one solution. One chance.

Chapter 239
I turned to Blake, who stood silently against the wall. His eyes met mine, dark with worry.
‘Blake,” I said steadily. “You asked me to consider getting back together.”
Everyone around us grew still, watching with surprised expressions.
‘I accept, I continued, my voice firm. “I’ll be your wife again.”
Blake’s pupils contracted, his left hand clenching tight. His face showed shock and suspicion.
‘Aria,” he said slowly. “You want to be my wife again… is it because you want to have another child with me?”
I met his gaze directly. “Yes.”
The hallway fell completely silent. Blake’s expression darkened.
“So that’s it,” he said flatly. “You want a backup donor for William.”
I didn’t flinch. “Dr.Hall just confirmed William needs bone marrow. Creating a sibling gives him the best chance.”

“Even siblings only have a 25% match probability!” Olivia interjected, stepping between us. “Aria, have you forgotten what Christine’s poison did to your body for three years? The doctors said your reproductive system was damaged!”
She grabbed my shoulders. “If you get pregnant now, you might not survive childbirth! That’s why we considered Emma as a surrogate-it
was safer for everyone!*
Her eyes filled with tears. “Medical reports show the toxins in your body could affect fetal development. What if this child inherits the same condition as William and Aurora? How could you bear watching another child suffer?”
I pulled away from her, finally breaking down.
“Of course I don’t want to see any child suffer!” I shouted, tears streaming down my face. “But I’d rather die myself than watch William being taken by illness at such a young age!”
My voice echoed through the hospital corridor. I stared at Blake, my chest heaving.
‘I’m begging you to help save our son,” I said, my voice cracking. “That’s all I want from you.”

Chapter 240
ARIA
Olivia stepped between us, eyes blazing. “Blake! You can’t just focus on your son while ignoring Aria’s safety!”
I wiped my tears, my entire body trembling. “Back off, Olivia. I know exactly what I’m doing.”
“Do you?” She grabbed my shoulders hard. “Your body barely survived years of poisoning. The doctors specifically warned against another
pregnancy.”
Her voice softened. “We still have time to find a matching bone marrow donor, Aria.”
I yanked away from her, a harsh laugh escaping my throat. “Time? You think we have TIME?” My voice echoed down the sterile hallway. “I’ve been searching for a match for three years, Olivia. THREE YEARS! Since the moment William was born!”
Blake’s head jerked up. “What did you just say?”
“You heard me,” I continued, words tumbling out uncontrollably. “I’ve contacted every major medical database in Europe. I’ve spent nights begging specialists across the world. Nothing! Zero matches!”
I turned to Blake, desperation making my voice shake. “William has leukemia now. He’s critical. We don’t have the luxury of waiting
anymore.”
Olivia reached for me. “There must be another-
“I know the damn risks,’ I snapped, my voice suddenly steady. “I know pregnancy might kill me. I know the baby might have problems too.
I don’t care.”
I stared directly at Blake. ‘I’m focusing on right now. Save William first, deal with everything else later.”
My fingernails dug into my palms as I confronted Blake. “He’s your son too. If you actually care about him, you won’t refuse me. Can you really stand there and watch your own child die?”
“NO!” Olivia shouted, suddenly lunging forward and wrapping her arms around me. “I won’t let you destroy yourself, Aria!”
The hallway fell silent except for our ragged breathing. Blake finally pushed himself off the wall, face unreadable.
“You’re not risking your life with another pregnancy,’ he stated flatly.
My heart dropped. “Then what-
“We have potential matches we haven’t tested,” Blake interrupted.
