Blood splattered across my wedding dress. The world stopped. William’s tiny body slumped against me, his shoulder torn open by Emma s
knife. The screams around us faded away-nothing existed except my son’s shocked face and the spreading red stain on his tuxedo.
“William!” I clutched him against my chest. “William, baby, look at mommy!”
His eyelids fluttered. “Mom-mommy,” he whispered, voice barely audible. “Did I… stop… the bad lady?”
My heart shattered. Even bleeding, he worried about protecting me.
“Don’t talk, sweetie.” I pressed my hand against his wound, his blood warm between my fingers. “You’re gonna be fine. You hear me? Just
stay awake.”
People shouted all around us. Someone called for an ambulance. Olivia appeared beside me, her face white with horror.
“Aurora…” William mumbled, growing paler by the second. “She’s scared…”
I glanced up and spotted my daughter trembling in the crowd, her eyes glowing that unnatural purple. Both my children in danger-one bleeding in my arms, the other losing control.
“Don’t worry about your sister, I wiped his cheek, accidentally smearing it with his own blood. “Just focus on staying with me, okay? Keep
those eyes open.
His eyelids drooped. “Hurts, Mommy.”
“I know, baby, I know.” I checked his wound again. Too much blood. Way too much.
His small body went completely limp.
“William!” I shook him gently. “No sleeping! You gotta stay awake!”
No response. Panic surged through me.
“He’s losing too much blood,” I scrambled to my feet, my wedding dress ripping as I stood. “We can’t wait for an ambulance!”
I kicked off my heels and ran for the door, William pressed against my chest. His blood soaked through my white dress, turning it crimson. My bare feet slapped against the marble, slipping once, twice in my desperation.
“Aria, wait!” Olivia called behind me.

Chapter 219
I couldn’t stop. Every second meant life or death.
I burst through the church doors, frantically searching for transportation. William’s breathing grew shallow against my neck.
“Please God,” I begged, tears blinding me. “Not my baby. Please not my baby.”
A shadow fell over me. Blake stood there, face ashen, eyes fixed on William’s blood-soaked form.
“Give him to me,” he reached for our son. “My car’s right there. I’ll get you both to the hospital.”
I stared at his outstretched hands. The same hands that had hesitated to shoot Emma. The same hands that had let this happen.
“Get away from us!” I slapped his hand aside, backing away. “This is your fault!”
Blake’s face crumpled. “Aria, please-

“You had a gun!” I screamed, clutching William tighter. “You could’ve stopped her! One shot, Blake! But you couldn’t pull the trigger on
precious Emma!”
People gathered, watching us. I didn’t care anymore who heard what.
“I didn’t know she had a knife,” Blake insisted. “I swear I didn’t-*
“You never know anything when it comes to her!” I laughed bitterly. “Three years ago, you chose her over me. Now history repeats itself!”
My voice cracked. “My son is dying because you couldn’t bear to hurt your precious Emma!”
Blake flinched hard. “That’s not true-*
“Save it,” I cut him off. “Your debt to Emma is your business. But my children shouldn’t pay for it with their blood!”
I turned to leave, but Blake grabbed my arm.
“Aria, stop. Every second we argue puts William in more danger. Let me help you.”
I wanted to fight more, to make him hurt the way I was hurting. But William felt colder against me. He needed help now.
“Fine,” I snapped. “But if anything happens to him-
“I know,” Blake said quietly.
He led me to his waiting car. Jack jumped out when he saw us coming.

Chapter 219
‘Move, Blake ordered. ‘I’m driving.”
Jack scrambled away as Blake helped me into the back seat. I cradled William, removing his jacket to check the wound. The knife had
gone deep into his shoulder, dangerously close to vital areas for a child so small.
